Hi all 👋👋 I joined yesterday and am 50% through the first course, and loving it. Not least, that I'm already feeling confident. Watching the videos on creating a chat bot, it seems a lot easier to do than I expected. I've been a freelance SEO writer since 2020, but I started to work on local SEO with Google Business Profile set up, optimisation and management in July 2025 as I could see the effect AI overview was having on organic traffic. Google decimated organic traffic with the December algorithm update, with thousands of sites losing up to 100%, wiping out revenue within days. My affilate site is two years old and dropped from 300 clicks & 75k impressions weekly to 16 clicks and 9.5k impressions 😡 Brutal, and that income source no longer exists. So, I'm glad my intuition kicked in, but I want a business that continues to pay me when I'm not working. I've wanted to create AI content for a while and joined a group that teaches that. Then, this group popped up. Perfect timing because I have one remaining client that I do a lot of work for - website management, SEO blogs, YouTube, TikTok, social media, GBP & more. At our meeting in December, I suggested having a chat bot on the new site and he's very keen. So, once I can master it, I've got my first client, yay 😆 I live in Gloucestershire, UK, widowed in 2020. I have two dogs. I write and publish books, launched my first digital product this week and working on developing a YouTube channel. I'm a lifelong learner, and a bit geeky. I'm the most determined person i know, and love mastering tech and problem solving. My primary goal is to buy a house of my own- either shared ownership or outright within the next two years. I'm not a young woman and my friends think I'm nuts saying i WILL buy my own house 😆 but I believe anything is possible if you align your actions with your goals. I just built an agent for a prospective client! I feel like I am going slower than I’d like- but the lessons are detailed so I watch them all closely a couple of times before moving forward. I think I love it here!
