I recently saw a video of someone who rescued an old leopard gecko. The lizard was wrinkled and moved around quite slowly. The rescuer said that she was wrinkled because of age. While I’m no expert on leopard geckos, I have been told enough to know that that’s not an age thing. Every person in the comments of the video were saying that old or not, a wrinkled leopard gecko is a sick leopard gecko. The person that rescued the gecko however, did not listen to the commenters and instead said that they knew better because they worked with a rescue. I’m writing this because I want and need people to hear and understand that it’s ok to not have all the knowledge but choosing ignorance when people who know what they’re doing are trying to set you on a different direction is destructive. Listen to people and allow yourself to learn and take advice. It is much better for everyone in the long run.
