What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever carried home because “it felt important”? I'll tell you a story, but it's weird so you start.

I have a rhodochrosite that reminds me of a slice of bacon. Have you ever licked a crystal? No, really, this is a legit question. People do this. Which crystal looks the most tasty even though we absolutely should not eat it? EDITED: Yeah...I probably shoulda said, "Just because people do, doesn't mean they SHOULD". Don't lick random stuff that you don't know what it's made of (or where it's been). Just don't. And don't eat a plant, just because you can. Just because it grows in nature, doesn't mean it's ok to ingest.

Physical Overview Epidote is a calcium aluminum iron silicate mineral that commonly forms in metamorphic rocks and hydrothermal environments. Its color ranges from yellow-green and olive green to deep forest green or nearly black depending on iron content and crystal structure. Crystals are often elongated, striated, and prism-like, sometimes growing alongside quartz, feldspar, garnet, or prehnite. Some specimens are highly glassy and reflective while others appear more dense and earthy. Important deposits occur in places such as Austria, Pakistan, Mexico, Norway, and the United States. Mohs hardness is typically around 6 to 7, making it durable enough for collecting and some jewelry use, though crystal points can still chip with rough handling. Physically, many crystal practitioners associate Epidote with vitality, recovery from exhaustion, circulation, energetic replenishment, emotional processing, and supporting the body during periods of heavy stress or depletion.
