How do we know what action is the right action?
Hi @Ej Colclough , after setting our goal and deadline we are obviously supposed to start taking action. My question is, how do we know "what action is the right action?" I ask because one could be doing infinitely different things. And as a result of this they can also end up being involved in things that dont necessarily move the needle forward. So how is one supposed to know? Is it a "feeling" that guides us? Ill use my own example. After setting my goal I had no idea what I should be doing. So I decided to do whatever I felt was relatively easy to do based on my current circumstances. But at the same time also has the possibility of moving me towards my goal. So i went and attended a networking event. The event was not very beneficial but it did make me feel a little more confident of my unique perspective in terms kf givijg value to business owners. And I also met one guy who needed help me feel amarketing services. He took my contact. I wasnt really interested in trying to get his business though. It just didnt feel resonant but im keepijg an open mind and he wants to meet on wednesday. After that I decided to go for another more private networking event. I got a few good contacts there but it didnt feel resonant for whatever reason. Although I did bump into one person who seems quite connected, owns a consulting firm and needed my perspective on marketing. This one was the most resonant of all the contacts I got but even then it didnt really click for me. Im still talking to him though and may be we will do some business together. Maybe not. Regardless, it doesnt really inspire me im not sure why. There was another guy i emailed. He was a marketing consultant. I asked if i can do a live event for his audience sharing what I learnt from Bob Proctor. I didnt expect him to respond back but he actually did respond although he declined. However when I read his message i felt like an instant flash in my mind. I didnt even see the decline. I saw his message as something he really thought about and for some reason it felt like a near perfect possible opportunity.

I just read something this morning that said if you wait for the exact situation, opportunity, ect. to show up. You will be waiting forever. It made me think about in my business and customer profile that I am attracting. There have been people who have not looked like they would fit exactly in the beginning but ultimately we have turned them into that perfect customer. My industry is different than yours, so I don't know if that will correlate. What is your decision, your path, what are you accomplishing with your business? What does your perfect client look like?
Your Mind is Fertile Ground
The subconscious mind is going to create whatever you plant in it. It is not biased. It is not judgmental. Imagine it always says, “Yes.” Whether we develop thoughts of prosperity or scarcity, it says, “Yes, it will be done.” The subconscious is like an AI prompt. Give it the right prompt, and it will give you an answer to assist you. Give it a mundane prompt, and it will give you subpar answers. Earl Nightingale, in The Strangest Secret, described planting corn and poisonous nightshade in the same soil: the land will grow either one because it doesn’t choose what you plant. What are you planting? Think. 🧠 Likely it's both nightshade and nourishment. Whatever the dominant idea is in your subconscious mind, you will experience it in reality. The best way to turn this around and plant the seeds of an identity that matches your desired results is to become aware of what you are planting. Do not force it. Just observe. Imagine you are the watcher of your thoughts, not their dictator. I like to visualize as an observer walking around the mind, watching what it does without judgment. The observer simply watches where the thoughts go. We are not our thoughts alone. It’s normal to have thoughts we do not desire. Give yourself grace as you recognize this. See your thoughts and begin to think about your thinking. This creates awareness. It begins with awareness alone, without the ego saying, “I’ve got this. Let’s force my outcome.” When we begin to see our patterns, that awareness will automatically begin to alter our patterns of thought. It’s a flow that moves past obstacles and confusion. We are human, and recognizing this allows us to give ourselves grace when we make mistakes. When you become the watcher, you allow yourself to move on from unwanted thoughts instead of letting them drop anchor and weigh you down. You make room for your highest spiritual desires to become experiences in your reality. Be the watcher and “let” your life’s desires become your new reality.

I am watching myself set up a business that runs without me. I see the choices that I have to take to see this happen.
The feeling of it's done!
Feeling as though your goal is already accomplished can be difficult when you approach it through your adult self. Past disappointments, dissatisfaction, and struggles can make it hard to feel excited about what you imagine. Try seeing your fulfilled goal through the eyes of your inner child. That part of you dreams freely and already sees this future for your adult self with innocent confidence, curiosity, and imagination. Imagine how your inner child feels now that your goal is accomplished. How excited would they be? How would they move? What would they say? Let their joy move you. Borrow their wonder and allow yourself to feel that it’s done, that you’re already living it. Let your inner child teach your adult self how to celebrate this moment without filtering it through yesterday’s disappointments. How does your inner child feel knowing your goal is already accomplished? Comment with a GIF or tell me in a short sentence.

Creativity will drown out distraction
🙉 The physical noise around us, will always compete for our attention. But when we intentionally turn inward to the subjective world of imagination, purpose, and possibility, we start to focus on our dreams, the goals that really matter to us, and the creative ideas that move us toward them. Every creative thought aligned with your purpose fuels inspired action. And every consistent action helps you shape your future from the inside out. When we live from that inner world instead of being controlled by circumstances, distractions lose their grip, and creativity becomes the steady force moving you forward towards your goal.

This played out for me in real time with a meeting with my team. Things were getting out of hand and we got interrupted (Thankfully). During that time I stopped to think about what our goal was and when the conversation started back up that is the direction I turned the talk. This made the outcome much more constructive. There are many more conversations and redirects to come, but it is refreshing to see it. Knowing I am on the right path.
