Your Party?
What does everybody think about Jeremy Corbyn’s new Your Party? I quite like Corbyn’s left-wing views - much like the Labour Party of old which was (at least sometimes) electable. It was reported a couple wif weeks ago that the new party would be against Scottish and Welsh independence, but I’ve been reading into it a bit more and it seems they will be taking notice of the two countries’ wishes on self-determination. If that is the case - and given the defections we’ve witnessed so far - Your Party may be the best way of securing Indy? I’m interested to hear what others think. Slainte!

I feel that any branch of a Westminster party will deceive Scotland to get into power and ignore our wants and wishes like the rest of their colonial counterparts have done in the past. Speaking of dangling carrots.. remember The Vow? What is he actually offering? it sounds very vague and as such nothing will come of it. Westminster are not our allies, they are our colonisers and as such whichever English party is in power down south they will never constitutionally be allowed to break the union by the power that lies behind the English crown. Our best chance is international law, (which trumps English/British law) by a process of decolonisation. Supporting yet another branch of an Foreign government just dilutes our cause for Independence. We have to focus and rise from within Scotland and back oor ain. Looking south at JC's party is not the answer for us Scots. I wish him well and hope England gets behind him because he could be their only hope of putting the brakes on the march to the far right which will be disastrous for all of us living in these Islands.
