Day 3 Grace and Truth: The Jesus Model
Day 3: Truth Calls People Forward Truth Is Love With Direction Key Idea: Jesus loved people enough to tell them the truth. Scripture (NIV): John 8:10–11 “Then neither do I condemn you… Go now and leave your life of sin.” Teaching: Notice the order: 1. Grace — “Neither do I condemn you.” 2. Truth — “Leave your life of sin.” Jesus did not shame people into change. He invited them into transformation. Truth says: - You are forgiven - You are capable of growth - You are not stuck Action Steps: - Identify one area where you’ve been avoiding a necessary conversation - Speak truth with kindness this week - Before giving feedback, ask: “Will this help them grow?” Reflection: Do you use truth to help—or to prove a point?

Day 2: Grace Sees the Person Before the Problem Love Opens the Door for Transformation Key Idea: Jesus saw identity before behavior. Scripture (NIV): Luke 19:5–10 Jesus called Zacchaeus by name before Zacchaeus changed. Teaching: Jesus didn’t begin with condemnation. He began with connection. Grace means: - Seeing people as image-bearers - Listening before correcting - Choosing restoration over rejection Grace is not ignoring issues, it’s creating an environment where change becomes possible. Action Steps: - Reach out to someone without trying to fix them - Practice asking more questions than making statements - Encourage someone specifically today Reflection: Do people feel safe being honest with you?
