ADHD Real talk: how expensive is distraction?
ADHD tax sucks (the price we pay for missed appointments, late payment fees, etc.) So I'm curious. If you had to estimate… How much money does distraction cost you in a year?

This is one of the biggest things people don't understand about ADHD... I had to really explain this to my wife recently. It cost me relationships, opportunities & $$$. I wasn't absentminded/distracted on purpose. Other things took priority/my mind focused on and it was a massive pain in my ass 😂. I'm far better at managing things now but I still have to keep on top of it.

@Bill Widmer I think it definitely has its advantages but it also comes with a downside that can be really tough to manage for many of us. I can remember the first time it really dawned on me that I was royally fucking things up & how bad I felt about it. It wasn’t intentional but that didn’t matter.
Going through it
When life's got you down, what are your go-to ways of getting through it?

Oddly enough the older I get cleaning and cooking seems to pull me back to center. Sounds like you are up to your ears in moving so, not sure either of those suggestions will work for you 🤣
💰Pricing sweet spot
I've always struggled working out how much to charge. If you listen to the 'Gurus' they will almost always tell you got to go high / premium pricing. 10 years ago it was about going low, all about volume and scaling. Profit was rarely mentioned as funding / finance was cheap. Anyways I have never been one to listen to others. I learned long ago that you can never assume anything. You should let the customer inform your decisions. When I first started my current business I went low. It was a good strategy, I gained market share pretty quick. But I soon hit a wall. Because as you grow you need to hire help / staff / contractors etc. So then I doubled my price. My conversion didn't drop. Clearly I was too cheap before. I then added a new VIP pricing plan where clients could have an account managed / done for you serviced based plan. This was awesome the cash flow boost was instant. However all of a sudden we created a monster. At this higher plan, clients were demanding more access to us, phone, chat, zoom meetings etc. I maxed out pretty quick. I killed that plan aside from a couple of clients that were 'low maintenance'. To cut a long story sort the plan I ended up with was $99.95 monthly and it's self serve, you can't phone, text me or our staff. Only email support. So be careful when listening to bros on the interwebs who tell you to always go high. You might just end up with a Job. Unless it's an amazing product that you can deliver at scale, it could end up being a noose around your neck. Which will cause breathing problems resulting in you wearing nose strips for the rest of you life. (it's a thing). It's about finding the sweat spot where you are profitable and can deliver at scale without things breaking. $99.95 was our sweet spot. Anything under $100 / mth customers don't expect too much of us. And that frees us up to take on more clients / scale. Oh and I added one little extra tweak. If you do over $10,000 orders through our system will charge a 1% processing fee. This ment we were actually getting paid more than we were via our VIP plan, but it was more equitable as it was linked to our performance. The more money we brought in the more we got paid. #Win / Win.

@Shaun Latham- This is such a great breakdown of how a business evolves, changes and matures! Example for me- I went to Massage school in 1997 & started practicing in 2000. When I first stated practicing I loved 1.5 hr appointments. As I went on I realized that 1.5 hrs was too much time for me & I would rather see clients for 1hr. That lasted until I started working with youth athletes who were coming in for specific injuries appointments and I realized that I could get a lot done in 30 min for them & they could come in wearing shorts/sweats & a t-shirt for their appointments. In 2017 I took a course that was heavily focused in biomechanics and assessments and realized that I needed more time for assessment/client education and settled on 45 min. My pricing was at industry standard as when I first began but as I became more specialized I increased my prices until they were at the high end of industry standard. Now with my VIP/Premium Skool community I have people commit to a year's worth of coaching and charge way more than my old peers would have thought possible with zero face to face interaction with my members.

@Shaun Latham Yeah, I have found that success leaves clues. I love to rebel and do things my own way, it took me a while but I found that if I follow what's successful and add my own personal flair/touch it goes much smoother and ultimately I get to work with people who love my work and I love to work with. Which is my ultimate goal.
Alignment Over Hesitation
The lesson I am embodying today, is that choosing alignment over hesitation changes how I show up in the world. On my connection calls, I didn’t just “do outreach,” I showed up fully as myself and let my Focusing promotion flow from real conversations instead of trying to sell it. I brought that same intention into the EDM Prosperity ne network event. Went in clear about sharing the Anti-Summit and finding a DJ replacement, and actually followed through on both. When I move from that place, promotion feels natural, conversations open doors, and results show up without me having to force the moment. Also ended up inviting another new friend to my Entrepreneurs Temple event this weekend and she RSVPed!

Nice work! I too have found that having an intention helps me stay centered & allow the conversation to flow as it needs to. Funny, when I went to massage therapy school in 1997 we were taught to set an intention before we started every massage. This is the same type of practice by setting an intention before doing outreach.

@Sebastian Schroeder awesome! Let me know what the response is from people!
Stacking momentum
A reminder I’m taking from today: When I stack small, embodied wins and stay present with what I’m doing, momentum builds on its own. I don’t need a perfect day for things to move forward. Even with stress, delays, and a little chaos, I can still feel aligned, grounded, and effective. Turns out, showing up in my body and doing the next honest thing is what actually creates the flow. 🌱
