How do I move on
So I was in a relationship with my ex for 3 years everything was perfect I thought she was my soulmate I wanted to marry this girl I was super in love with her trusted her without a doubt this past august I took her out for her birthday everything was perfect she always told me she would never leave me that she loved me that she was happy with me even on the day I took her out for her birthday shortly after she became distant and kinda cold till one day she stopped sharing her location with me so I messaged her and asked her if she was leaving me she texted me back the next day a whole paragraph basically saying she wasn’t happy in the relationship and that she wanted to be alone saying her mental health wasn’t good and it was cowardly of her to do it over text and basically saying how I didn’t deserve to get told like that because I have always been loyal and good to her well the same day I found out she was with someone else and the month after she got pregnant by that dude and shortly after married him the whole thing hit my like a truck it was like someone took my heart out and stomped on it I’ve been going to a therapist and clinging on to the lord heavily but my spark is gone the first couple months were hell and I’ve just started to feel a little like myself but I can’t shake off the feeling that I was betrayed I trusted her I gave her everything I was there for her when she didn’t have the strength to believe in herself it basically feels like I built her up for someone else I’m a little better but there are times we’re I can’t seem to move on

It’s takes time. You are already on the right track with therapy and holding strong in your faith. Just keep trying to remind yourself that you didn’t do anything wrong. Some people just don’t see how good other people are and that’s a problem with themselves. Lean on any support you have, do things that you enjoy doing, don’t try and numb anything because going straight through it will always benefit you and get you out of the storm faster and feeling like yourself again. You’re not alone, and you got this!!

You have to go through it. You have to feel the pain, the hurt, the sorrow. You can’t mask it with escapism, itll just prolong the suffering. “Bison go through the storm, while cows run.” The cows aren’t getting away, they are making it last longer. So cry when you need too, sulk when you can. But the storm will pass. You’re young and you got this!!! Reach out if you need anything ❤️
Welcome to Breakups to Beasts: Founder’s Story + Introduce Yourself
Hello, I'm Jay Carvalho, founder of Breakups to Beasts. My journey began in 2021, during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was fighting depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and broken relationships. I needed a way out of the pain and a path to becoming a better version of myself. Over the years I built routines that carried me through: meditation, journaling, cold showers, reading, learning new skills, and training. I started working out around 14 or 15, when I was skinny, insecure, and bullied. Training became more than physical. It gave me mental strength, confidence, and discipline. Those daily practices helped me heal, make major life decisions, seek forgiveness, grow spiritually, build businesses, and become a more grounded man. Five months ago I went through the worst heartbreak of my life. It led me to Christ. I grew up atheist, and accepting Jesus changed how I see purpose, values, and peace. That's why I started creating content: to help people facing what I faced, and to show a way to live with faith, integrity, and growth. I know what it's like to feel lost and broken, and to wonder if you'll ever feel peace again. That's why I created Breakups to Beasts. A breakup can break you down. It can also be where you rebuild: mind, body, and spirit, as a new, stronger creation. You were not broken to stay broken. This isn't just a community. It's a movement: - To heal and build real clarity, peace, and resilience - To build routines and habits that lead to lasting change - To become the best version of yourself, men and women alike - To lift up the people who are struggling the most I'll walk with you, step by step, day by day. Introduce yourself below 👇🏼 1. Who are you? 2. What brought you here? 3. What are you working through right now? 4. Who do you want to become?

1. Shaun Pothul 2. Like others have said, I’d like to surround myself with like minds people that will help support each other. 3. Currently I’m going through a really rough break up. We were together nearly 11 years, have two beautiful little girls together, bought a house together. And now it’s all been flipped on its head, leaving me with worse anxiety and depression then I had ever had before. 4. I’m here to try my best to learn how to be my best. Not only for my daughters but for myself as well. Knowing that the better I can be, the better life will get. I’m excited to learn and experience the community and hope I can help anyone I can!
