🌿 Poetry Prompt: The Beauty of Overgrown Gardens 🐝
Write a poem about the beauty we often overlook, the things we leave to grow wild, or the new life that emerges when we allow things to be as they are. Perhaps your poem will explore healing, freedom, transformation, or finding beauty in the unexpected. 🐝 What does an overgrown garden mean to you? Let your imagination wander, follow the little details, and see where the words take you. There are no rules. Just you, nature, and whatever wants to emerge. 🌱

A child of wonder so much in life to discover growing up guided by the gentel hands of her mother. A handfull of seeds mixed with big dreams. things i could not see. invisiable yet so much alive growing in me. Looking back i never seem to notice the weeds, they just grew wild all around me. Hidding the beautiful flowers of opertunety and in the mist of the prosess somehow i lost me. yet i still belived and i knew in my heart that i must break free. Years passed searching for what i would need. Oh' how my heart did bleed to be free. Then one day many years later walking through my garden i cryed out to the heavens as i fell to my knees underneath the shadow of the most beatiful oak tree and i watched the tears fall down my wrinkeled cheaks and there in that place Jesus met me and He said child search no more i have been waitting for you and this day i came to set you free from all those weeds and right there in my over grown garden He changed me and showed me who i was always meant to be and what i was searching for was always right here inside of me. JESUS set me free.

@Michelle Heighway Thank You i think it was the longest i ever left a promt up. I always pray before i start and i honestly startted three times and felt it was just not what wanted to unfold and i took it back to God and prayed again numerase times then when it finialy came out it seemed to flow efertlessly.not with perfection but from my heart and to me that matters. Somtimes even when there are inperfection it maters that you just stay in the flow waiting on God to to bring life to a story.and it may be just for you or for some one ealse you just don't know.. it is a ripple effect every thing in life is conectted in some way. (You) became a part of a story unfolding by posting a promtt that was put on your thoughts then it was passed to me you spoke your life into your thoughts and before that was the writer that inspired you we are all conectted in life some how and that amazes me poetry is such a powerful way to connect to others and are self my thoughts some how are not on the poem it's self but how we connect and in the end was also conectted to God when i prayed. It may sound a bit silly but that is my thoughts on this poem and it dose not speak of conection but some how it did. Awareness of the ripple effect we leave in life. Thank You.
🐟 Poem of the Day: The Ones That Got Away: Slippery Fish
Inspired by Lucas Jones @lucassjoness and his book I Still Believe in Miracles. Sometimes a quote sparks a whole new stream of thought! Your prompt: Write a poem about the one that got away. It could be a person, a dream, an opportunity, a moment in time or even a version of yourself you sometimes miss. Or take the idea somewhere completely unexpected. What if the thing that got away wasn't meant to be caught in the first place? #PoemOfTheDay #SpokenWordPoetry #PoetryCommunity #LucasJones #InspiredBy

🐈 The Art of Observation: Finding Flow Through a Pet
The Art of Observation: Finding Flow Through a Pet Watch the video below 🎥 I created this in TikTok using my poem “The Cat in the Cupboard”, from my book Step Into My Flow, with music from The Cat in the Hat film, based on the work of Dr. Seuss. 🎶🐈 The poem began simply by observing my pet. And this is your prompt: Choose a pet, animal, plant, or even a person you have around you. Instead of trying to write something, simply observe. Watch the little things. How do they move? What sounds do they make? What do they do when they think nobody is watching? Notice their rhythm, their pauses, their quirks and expressions. Stay with the observation for a few minutes. Then allow your attention to become your writing. Don't force a poem. Don't worry about rhyme, structure or whether it makes sense. Simply follow whatever begins to appear. You might write from the animal's perspective. You might describe what you see. You might discover a memory. You might notice something about yourself through watching them. 🎧 Optional: Put on some music while you observe. Let the rhythm influence your writing and see whether it helps you move into a deeper state of creative flow. Your challenge Observe. Listen. Feel. Write. What happens when you stop trying to create and simply become completely present with what is in front of you? Share whatever emerges below. It doesn't have to be polished. The observation itself is the practice. 🌿

She does not rush to start her day fast asleep nothing much to do or say. Two little people she lays at the foot of their bed ocasionally she looks up to see their tiny little heads. She will stand her post untill they wake. When their tiny little feet hit the floor She will follow them aroud till they settle Then you will find her fast asleep gaurding the door. Their furry litle protector she is far more than a pup She is part of our famialy and she givves to us far more than her love. Thank You charlie medina we love you so much.

I observe my thoughts I am the observer I control how fast they move I can quiet them down I can be peaceful Breathe deeply into the heart Intermittent silence I create much-needed interludes The body is relaxed How do you find calm? What’s your daily ritual to find peace and feel balanced? How do you step into your creative flow of balanced wellbeing? ✨ What helps you find your calm, your peace and your flow?

Peace oh sweet peace i breath slowly in through my nose out through my mouth making myself emty removing all drama fear and every drop of doubt. I sit in the silance not a thought in my head no worries no sorrow no heartache no pain and i wait in the stillness till the Lord calls my name.i liseten intently and never leave the same. Ah' sweet peace He gives me and in my heart it reamains as i start my day.
