Overwhelmed!
Wow, I'm very overwhelmed after today's call. Since I work for an established company, we have designated departments for marketing, accounting, and other tasks. Although I could probably use some LinkedIn help, however, my clients are government, so we can't get many photos and definitely no videos. Please reach out to me if you can assist with that! But ultimately, that is not why I joined this group. I want to start a side business that is utterly unrelated to my current role. Everything you spoke about stunned me! Branding, social media (which I typically avoid), bookkeeping, oh my! My head was already spinning with business ideas, even though I am struggling to find focus on just one or two ideas to get started with. Oh my goodness, I guess my question is, "Where do I even begin?" On a side note, you all have such impressive businesses, and I want to be just like you when I grow up.

Hi Stacey! Relatable! As a business owner, my discussions with clients involves weighing out the value of them being tagged, if it makes sense to stay less client facing, etc. for mutual benefit and strategy agreement. I have started to take little things that stand out to me and find ways to feature how I'm thinking about the thing, without it needing to tie into a specific client - so pictures of b roll type of things rather than my direct client involvement. Now that being said, many established companies do have social media policies as well, so you could start checking into handbooks and things - so you know you are within parameters but beginning to add some movement on your profiles for potential growth. (assuming you meant like LinkedIn or anything else where you have work colleagues potentially) I had always found myself in the "chaos coordinator" roles and honestly utilized ChatGPT to explore that along with various assessments I love (SparkType, 16personalities, DISC) as well as asking it consider how I been utilizing AI - and asked it to provide me questions and suggestions to play with. As I built it out, it was helpful to have some trusted people (like this space) to flesh things out. I'm excited to see what you decide on! And I think that you could even give permission to explore it before you worry too much on the posting side... but you don't have to. I don't know that there is one right way and I'm sure the social media experts here can give more strategy advice on that :)
