Teaching our Children
Hi friends! Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to teach your kids in the way of the Lord? What are some ways you teach your children? I have a 4 year old and a 6 month old.

We are intentional about raising our children in the way of the Lord, making faith the cornerstone of our family life. This commitment is evident in how we structure our time and learning: * Worship and Sacraments: We attend Mass regularly as a family, ensuring the children participate in the central act of worship and the sacramental life of the Church. * Deepening Scriptural Knowledge: The kids attend Bible studies weekly, and we actively live and teach the Bible in our home, integrating its principles and stories into our daily lessons and decisions. * Community and Fellowship: They are actively involved in youth group weekly, providing a vibrant community for spiritual growth and accountability among their peers. * Adhering to Values: While we surround ourselves with people from all walks of life, we firmly adhere to our Christian values, teaching our children to engage the world with compassion and integrity while remaining true to their faith. Our entire home life is focused on modeling and teaching Christian discipleship, ensuring our children are thoroughly immersed in the love and wisdom of God before they venture out on their own.
Help Me Shape This Cozy Space
Hi ladies, As more of you are joining, I would love to hear your heart for this community. My hope is that The Christian Homemaker can become a cozy, faith-filled space where we: ~ Exchange ideas and share what’s working in our homes ~ Give and receive encouragement when days feel heavy ~ Chat openly about faith, family, homemaking, and homeschooling ~ Form real friendships with like-minded women who love Jesus I picture this space a little like having coffee with a good friend - swapping stories, asking for advice, and walking through this season of life together. Maybe you’d love a place to: - Ask for homeschool curriculum recommendations - Find encouraging podcasts or devotionals - Swap meal ideas, homemaking tips, or fun family traditions - Simply connect with other women who get it I know how much I love when a friend sends me a podcast that lifts my spirit for days - and I want this to be that same kind of place for all of us! So let me know….What are you hoping to find, learn, or share here? Your thoughts will help me shape this community into a space that truly serves and blesses you. Can’t wait to hear from you!

Hi! Let's Get Acquainted! 👋 I'm **Shannon**, and while I'm a proud Texas native, **North Dakota** is where my roots are now firmly planted! All nine of my children were born here, and now, seeing four of them grow, marry, and build lives here has made this state home—I couldn't imagine leaving. Plus, one of my son's is buried in the town where I live and definitely don't want to leave him. As for homemaking, I simply **love everything about it!** It's not just a hobby or a chore; it's my passion and my ministry. I find deep satisfaction in nurturing my family, creating a peaceful sanctuary, and building a legacy within the walls of my home.
