📥 Free Download: The Breadcrumbz Pre-K & Kindergarten Readiness Checklist
A no-pressure, on-the-fridge way to see what your little one already knows, and where to follow the Breadcrumbz next. If you've ever caught yourself worrying "is my kid ready for pre-K?" or "should they know more letters by now?"... take a breath. This printable will provide a path for you. It's two pages. It prints front-and-back on one sheet. And every line is written in your child's voice ("I can use the bathroom on my own," "I can take turns with a friend") because that little shift makes it feel less like a test and more like a celebration of what they're already doing. ⭐What's inside 👉Six readiness areas: self-care, getting along with others, listening & talking, letters, numbers/shapes/colors, and growing-strong hands and bodies 👉A friendly host for every section — Rachel Rye, Whitney Wheat, Briana Brioche, Tiffany Toast, Penelope Pumpernickel, and Fiona Focaccia each guide a different page 👉A child name / age / date row at the top so you can date it and look back in six months to see how far they've come ⭐How to use it (the no-pressure version) 👉Print it. Stick it on the fridge, slide it into a folder, or tape it inside your planner. Watch for these skills during regular life — meals, getting dressed, story time, the playground. Check things off as you spot them. 👉There is no "right age" to check every box. Kids follow the breadcrumbs at their own pace. If most items in a section are still tricky, that section is just where to focus next. That's the whole idea. Tell me below 👇 When you've grabbed yours, drop a quick comment: ✏️Your child's age (or the age range you teach) ✏️Which section is your little one strongest in right now? ✏️Which one are you secretly hoping to work on? I read every comment — and your "secretly hoping" answers help me decide which video and worksheet drop next. 💛 What's coming after this Free downloads land in this section every week or two. Coming up: a letter-of-the-week tracker, a sight-words snack-time placemat, and a "feelings faces" emotion chart starring Penelope. Hit Notify me on this category so you don't miss them.

Hi! I'm so glad you're here!
Welcome to Back to Basics with The Breadcrumbz, the little corner of the internet where we help parents, caregivers, and teachers provide some basic lessons and instructions to help kids with pre-K, Kindergarten, or life without the overwhelm. Whether your little one is two years out from "big school," starting school soon, or schooled at home, you're in the right place. Three things to do right now (takes 2 minutes): 1. Introduce yourself 👇 Drop a comment below and tell us: - Your first name - Your little one's age (or the age range you teach) - One thing you're hoping they'll feel ready for 2. Watch the welcome video 🎬 (Look under the classroom tab for the video) Meet the Breadcrumbz and see how this community works. 3. Grab your first free printable 📝 Download "The Breadcrumbz Readiness Checklist" — a one-pager you can stick on the fridge. You will find it in a pinned post on the community page. A quick note about what this community is: Free, friendly, and focused on the basics. We're not about pressure or pushing kids to read at three. We're about confidence, curiosity, and small daily wins. Down the road, members who want full access to every video, every printable, and every step-by-step course will have the option to upgrade to a paid membership. For now? You're in. Make yourself at home. Follow the Breadcrumbz... 🍞💛 Shannon
