10 Step Workshop to End the Illusion of Separation
We are excited to announce a 10-Step program to our Shangriballa community. Are you tired of constantly searching for inner peace, only to feel like you’re continually fighting your own mind or body? Maybe you've tried meditation, but you still feel like there's a separate "you" inside, stressed, anxious, and trying to keep it all together. You're ready to move beyond basic coping and address the fundamental source of that struggle. The best part? This entire 10-Step journey is entirely FREE for the Shangriballa community! This is our gift to help you experience a seamless, effortless life directly. That's precisely what this program, led by Patrick Boulan and Lisa Silva, is designed for. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced meditator, this journey is your next essential step. Introducing: The 10-Step Journey into Pure Awareness This isn't another course on fixing yourself. It’s an experiential inquiry into the simple, liberating truth of Non-Duality—the realisation of not-two. Over 10 steps, we’ll dismantle the core illusions that create suffering, using your own direct experience as the guide. Each session includes a core conceptual teaching, immediately followed by a custom-guided meditation designed to create an expansive and profound experience for all levels. **The Secret to True Freedom** Step 1 focuses on the course's foundation, introducing basic non-dual teaching and meditation practices. It will include our anchor-setting program, which will serve as a foundation for the rest of the course. We are establishing your Unchanging Container (Step 2)—the spacious awareness that is already whole and peaceful. Everything else happens in this space. Then, we systematically lighten the grip of your deepest identifications: - You'll Bypass the Mind: We’ll spend a crucial week at The Doorway of the Senses (Step 3), tuning into raw, unlabelled input. You see the world vividly, free from the mind’s usual commentary. - You'll Drop the Story: We’ll examine The Narrative of Self (Step 7) and identify the subtle, constant thought that creates the "me." When the I-thought stops, you discover the vast, silent dimension of your being. - You'll Dissolve the Body: A massive shift happens in The Myth of the Body (Step 8), where we stop seeing the body as a fixed object and realise it's just a dynamic flow of pure, shifting sensation. When you stop identifying with the body, the pain and limitation instantly become less personal.

Documentary - The Birth of Shangriballa—and Our Community
Waking Up—Waking In: A Leap of Faith Hey everyone, We've got some incredible news we're so proud to finally share with our family here in the Skool community. You hear us talk all the time about the Shangriballa Method and the power of transformation, but today, we're sharing the ultimate origin story. We're beyond thrilled to officially announce and share our long-awaited documentary, "Waking Up—Waking In: A Leap of Faith." This isn't a glossy film we just paid for; this is the raw, beating heart of why we do what we do. It’s a 30-minute peek behind the curtain, showing the breathtaking journey of my own personal transformation. This documentary is literally how the Shangriballa Method was born. I had to live this truth, feel the despair of the "before," and walk through the fire to find the freedom of the "after." But here's the beautiful part: this documentary is about much more than just my story now. Through this work, we've met wonderful people, like the brilliant Patrick Boulan, who not only connected with the core truth of the method but also confirmed its structure. This validation helped us realize that Shangriballa has become something greater than I ever imagined—it's an evolving concept shared by everyone here. It's a community understanding where each person finds their own unique interpretation, adapting it to their unique life situations. We've all played a part in defining it. I'm thankful for every suffering, every opportunity to grow, because it all came from grace and led us here, together. This documentary is our testament to that journey and that shared spiritual healing. Please watch it, reflect on it, and share your biggest takeaways right here in the comments. We can’t wait to hear how this story resonates with your own path to self-discovery and how you uniquely experience the Shangriballa Method. Welcome to the beginning, again! ❤️ Lisa Silva

Huge Gratitude to Our October Retreat Participants!
Wow. We're still feeling the powerful glow from our last Summer retreat! Honestly, we wanted to take a moment and just pour out our gratitude to every single person who showed up. You didn't just attend; you brought your whole, incredible selves. It was more than just a gathering; it was a profound sharing of hunity. We saw such deep, authentic connections being forged, and watching each of you find that deeper link to your own self was simply breathtaking. That feeling? That's what we call magic. What did the retreat confirm for us? That sharing and community are the foundation of healing. Not just for us as individuals, but for all of us, collectively. When we drop the walls and truly connect, the ripple effect is immense. That’s why we do this. To everyone who was there: Welcome to the Shangriballa Family. You are valued, you are seen, and you are officially part of our tribe. This isn't the end of the journey; it's just the beginning of a new chapter together. We can't wait to see the beautiful things you create with the energy and insights you gathered.

Non-Duality: From the Mountaintop to Your Laptop
Isn't it funny how some concepts, which once felt so far away, are now popping up everywhere? It's as if non-duality is having its moment, suddenly appearing in podcasts, on social media, and in various spiritual circles. We've got to wonder what it even means to us, here and now, in the middle of our chaotic, modern lives. Non-duality, a simple idea with a big history, literally means "not two." It's the understanding that there's no fundamental separation between you and everything else, between the observer and the observed, or between the self and the universe. A hundred years ago, this concept was mostly reserved for mystics and monks in remote monasteries. It was something you dedicated your entire life to, often giving up worldly possessions and human connections to pursue. The non-duality of a century past was often about escaping the material world to find a deeper, singular truth. But today, the conversation is different. It's more about how to live this truth right here, in the messy, dualistic world we inhabit. We aren't all moving to a mountaintop. We're trying to figure out how to be "not two" while paying bills, raising kids, and navigating social media. This is where the struggle comes in. It's easy to read a book or listen to a talk and feel a glimmer of non-duality, but putting it into practice is a different matter. That's a whole other story. Here are some challenges: - The "I" is Sticky: We've spent our entire lives building up this identity, this "I," with all its stories, preferences, and fears. Suddenly being told it's not real, that it's just a concept, can feel disorienting and even threatening. How do you go to work and get things done if there's no "doer"? - Emotions vs. Detachment: Non-dual teachings can sometimes be misinterpreted as being emotionless or apathetic. People worry that if they don't experience anger or sadness about things, they won't be able to stand up for themselves or others. Non-duality isn't about getting rid of emotions; it's about seeing them for what they are, just passing sensations, without letting them run the show.

Very helpful, thank you my sister. While the ego keeps begging to keep things separate, I find myself there more often than not - seeing the separateness. I am however bringing the oneness to things I love, like nature and the people I love. I struggle, with the people I don't like for eg: an aunt who is currently bullying me. In this situation, I struggle to see how being bullied is the flow of life and that I am not separate to her. So it's trying to see past this...I feel stuck here

Hi Lisa, thanks for this post. For me, I'd like to understand more about non-duality and also how to bring our bufo experience into daily life. There is also a big part of me that keeps yearning to be back there and therefore, I don't feel present at times. Perhaps mindfulness practices? Thank you xx
