@James Louis Congrats on your first load 👏🏾 With a Ryder rental, you need steady lanes fast. Since you have TWIC, tap into port freight in NY/NJ. Also build relationships with brokers you already worked with — ask about consistent lanes instead of one-offs. Dedicated comes after consistency. What equipment are you running?

@James Louis A dedicated route would definitely help with a rental. Just make sure the loads you run cover your truck payment, fuel, etc and leave profit. Consistency and strong numbers make the difference. I also added a PDF that may help you find loads for your truck.

🚛 Free Worksheet: Know Your Cost Per Mile & Stop Guessing Your Profit
One of the biggest mistakes trucking business owners make is running loads without knowing their real numbers. If you don’t know: ❌ Your cost per mile ❌ Your break-even point ❌ Your true profit target ❌ Your minimum rate per mile …you’re gambling with your business. I created a free worksheet to help you calculate: ✅ Fixed expenses ✅ Variable expenses ✅ Cost per mile ✅ Monthly revenue ✅ Break-even miles ✅ Profit targets ✅ Load decision rules 👇🏽 Download the worksheet and complete it for your truck. If you want help walking through it step-by-step, comment below and I’ll host a live training inside the group. Let’s build profitable trucking businesses — not just busy ones 💪🏽🚛

You Welcome
🚛 How I Decide If a Load Is Actually Profitable (Free Checklist)
One of the biggest mistakes I see new trucking business owners make is booking loads based only on the gross pay. Revenue looks good on paper — but profit is what keeps your business alive. When I book loads, I always check these 5 things: ✅ Rate Per Mile ✅ Fuel Cost ✅ Deadhead Miles ✅ Delivery Time ✅ Real Profit (after ALL expenses) If a load doesn’t hit my profit target after expenses — I don’t take it. Period. I created a simple checklist you can use every time you’re evaluating loads so you stop guessing and start booking smarter. 👇🏽 Download the checklist below and start protecting your profit. If you want help learning how to calculate these numbers, drop a comment or tag me inside the group. Let’s build profitable trucking businesses — not busy ones 💰🚛

🚛 Places to Find Drivers
If you’re hiring, these are places to LOOK 👀 🔍 Driver Search Options ✔️ Indeed / ZipRecruiter ✔️ MeetaTruckDriver.com ✔️ Relay On Demand ✔️ Local CDL Schools ✔️ Driver Referrals 👀 Note: These are places to find candidates — always screen before you hire. ✅ Reminder Hire smart. Protect your business. Parking a truck is cheaper than fixing a bad hire.
