Release What Your Next Level Cannot Carry
The Doctor’s Prescription “Some things were necessary for your survival but were never intended to accompany you into your future.” The Diagnosis There comes a point in every journey when you have to ask yourself a difficult question: Am I tired because the climb is hard, or am I tired because I’m carrying things I was never meant to take this far? We often assume that moving forward requires more effort, more discipline, more resources, more connections, more knowledge. And sometimes it does. But there are also seasons when progress isn’t about what you need to add to your life. It’s about what you’re finally willing to release. Some of us are attempting to ASCEND while carrying old offenses, regret, guilt, outdated expectations, the need to prove ourselves, responsibilities we were never assigned, and relationships or identities we have simply outgrown. After carrying something for long enough, we can become so accustomed to its weight that we stop recognizing it as heavy. It simply becomes our “normal.” But normal does not mean necessary. There are beliefs and behaviors that may have helped you survive an earlier season of your life but are now preventing you from fully experiencing the one in front of you. There are relationships you can appreciate without continuing to depend upon. There are mistakes you can learn from without continuing to punish yourself for making them. And there are chapters that deserve to be honored—and then closed. Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is put something down. The Prescription This week, I want you to give yourself permission to travel lighter. Take an honest inventory of what you’re carrying and ask yourself one question: “Does this belong where I’m going?” Notice that I didn’t ask whether it once mattered. I didn’t ask whether it was important, whether you cared about it, or even whether it helped shape you. The question is whether it belongs in the future you are building? That distinction matters. We have a tendency to believe that releasing something means we are rejecting it. But release is not rejection; release is recognition. It is recognizing that a person, experience, belief, behavior, or season served its purpose—and having enough wisdom to know when its assignment is complete.

When you touched on trees loosing leaves and snakes shedding skin. I thought about the butterfly being released from the cocoon and feeling lighter as it flaps its wings. The release, thank you for for an inspiring word and assignment.
🚀 Welcome to ASCEND!
First, I want to personally thank you for being here. Out of all the communities you could have joined, you've chosen to invest in yourself—and I don't take that lightly. ASCEND isn't just another online group filled with information. It's a transformational community built around one belief: When you change the way you think, you change the way you live. Over the coming weeks and months, we're going to challenge assumptions, ask deeper questions, grow spiritually, develop practical skills, and help one another become the people we were created to be. Everything we do is built around the ASCEND Framework: 🔥 A — Actualization Discover who you truly are. Growth begins with identity. Before you can change your life, you must first understand yourself. "Know yourself, and you'll begin to understand your purpose." 💡 S — Stimulation Expand your thinking. Transformation starts in the mind. We'll challenge limiting beliefs, introduce new perspectives, and awaken possibilities you may have never considered. 🌱 C — Cultivation Develop the habits that sustain growth. Potential means very little without consistency. Here, we'll cultivate wisdom, character, discipline, and healthy patterns that produce lasting transformation. ⚡ E — Execution Put truth into action. Knowledge without action changes nothing. Every lesson is designed to help you apply what you learn to your life, relationships, faith, career, ministry, and business. 👉🏾 N — Navigation Move through life with clarity and confidence. Every season brings new challenges. Together, we'll develop the wisdom and discernment needed to navigate life's opportunities and obstacles with purpose. 🏆 D — Demonstration Become living proof of what's possible. The goal isn't simply to know more. It's to live differently. When transformation becomes visible in your life, you inspire others to begin their own journey. 🔥 Ready to ASCEND? Comment “I’m ALL IN” below. Again, Welcome to ASCEND. Let's grow. Let's lead. Let's ASCEND.— Dr. Joshua D. Mills

Hello beautiful blessings. My name is Shanda and I am from Augusta, Ga., about 2 hours outside of Atlanta; GA. I was called to this group because I am ready to pivot and aligned with like minded individuals that are intuitive in their thinking, trailblazing their own paths but are open to teaching and sharing as we all elevate together in a safe space to be who we were always meant to be. Deconstructing ideologies that have kept me out of alignment and realizing my true self. Thank you for allowing me to be here.
