Back stitching is VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You don’t want to skip the back stitch because that’s what secures your stitches. Always back stitch in the beginning and end of your stitches!

Give yourself permission to do NOTHING!
Today ain’t about rushing. It ain’t about finishing every project. And it definitely ain’t about being “productive” all day. Today is for you. For resting your hands… Clearing your mind… And giving your creativity room to breathe. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your sewing journey is step away for a moment. Let your ideas settle. Let your inspiration refill. Let your body rest. Because when you come back— you don’t come back drained… you come back renewed. ✨ Maybe today looks like: • Sitting with your fabric stash and dreaming a little • Sipping something warm while planning your next project • Straightening up your sewing space (just a little, no pressure) • Or doing absolutely nothing at all—and being okay with that Remember this, Sew Sista… You don’t have to earn rest. You deserve it. We’re not burning out over here— we’re building something beautiful, one peaceful stitch at a time 🧵💕 Drop a 🧵 if you’re giving yourself permission to rest today.

BE HONEST!
How many of y’all got a sewing machine sitting at home… collecting dust? Bought it with GOOD intentions… and now it’s just… decoration? 😩 Listen… you not alone. We about to change that. Drop “ME” if you got a machine you ain’t using 👇🏾

We’re doing a pillow next week in the group it’ll be easy and you can use old sheets an old tee shirt anything! Don’t have to go out and buy fabric yet!
My classroom comment
In the classroom it asks me to comment some when I complete my measurements. So Done. And also I have not done it before.

This is awesome 👏🏾 now we will be doing a project each week. I will begin on Tuesday’s with a tip of the week and then on Wednesday we will do something VERY basic to implement the tip. Each week a tip, an implement! So that at the end of each month we will have a complete project! Good job @Tammy Robinson 👏🏾

@Tammy Robinson good question! When I’m choosing a fabric the first thing I want to know is what am I making. Then how do I want it to fit; loose, flowing, stiff, stretchy… etc. then when I go to the fabric store I literally take the fabric feel it hold it up to me and see if it’s loose, flowing, etc. once I got the one that fits my idea I buy it. You are absolutely correct about the cost of fabric these days, when I was in the Los Angeles area I ALWAYS went downtown to the garment district. Now that I’m in Las Vegas I have waaaay more than enough fabric to make most things I want, but… I’m in the process of buying samples from different online stores so once I know the next best thing to the garment district in downtown L.A. I will bring that information here and let you guys know!
