How I Got Rid of a 6 Year Addiction Overnight
Less than two months ago I was getting high every day and wasting my days with excuses like: “Smoking makes me more creative.” “I’ll do it after I smoke.” “I already did it once today, might as well do it again.” I’d always feel guilty at the end of the day when nothing important got done. So I’d play video games to cope and distract myself until I passed out. It wasn’t until I started talking to a girl I liked that I realized she’d never respect me until I respected myself. That’s when I finally saw my habits for what they really were: THREATS. And it gave me just enough motivation to do one thing. I made a simple checklist of 8 to 10 tasks I needed to finish the next day. Things that would help me grow in ways that actually mattered to me. And I never looked back. Now I’m two months clean, in the best shape I’ve ever been in, and I’ve got a girl who respects me because I respect myself. Check out the first checklist that started it all. I’ve also included some before and after pictures. Me a year before I started following my system vs a couple months after. How far have you gotten with quitting your addictions or bad habits?
