So I’ve always thought when I’ve seen people using fx busses that they would put the EQ on after the effect (reverb, delay etc). Which always made sense as you’re getting rid of any unwanted frequencies that occur after you’ve applied what you want to. But I’ve noticed in the cheat sheet binder it comes before, which also makes sense as you’re taming any unwanted frequencies from the source so that they aren’t being processed by the effect. So is this just another preference thing, or is one way more beneficial than the other? Whilst doing some research on this, I’ve found some people claim to put EQ before AND after the effect for both reasons mentioned. What’s people saying?
