@Sydney Witbeck Hi, sorry for the delay, I have been unwell but I’m better now, mostly - and I can write again and yes I would, as a Christian, love to read that story for you, please? I have never read any book like that before but you hooked me on the word “Vikings” and then again in the word “Christianity” - I love anything to do with the Vikings (and Romans actually) and it sounds like something I’ll be able to read. I don’t always check my messages here on a daily basis, as I work full time but if you can bear with me please, I’ll always respond as soon as I can. How far have you got with the book/story so far, Sydney. Is it at first draft? Also, please confirm you want to beta read only. Let me know if it has gone through editing etc: just so I can ask myself the questions and give helpful answers… Also, if you have any specific questions for me to answer as I read or at the end that might help as then I’ll know exactly what you’re looking for? Do you want me to just read it and give my opinion chapter by chapter then an overview of the entire book? Either way, you can reply on me to get it done. 👍🏻 I am quite a slow reader and it usually takes me about a month to read and review about 200 pages on average. I’ve done beta reading on a regular basis for an author who helped other writers get published and he always said he liked to read my reviews because I bring something “unique to the table” if that puts your mind at ease, too. I must admit though, I stopped a few years ago for personal reasons so I’m glad you asked as I enjoy helping others whenever I can, especially by being their beta reader. How do we go about giving personal details such as an email for you to send it to, do you know? I don’t mind putting my beta reader email here - are we aloud to do that? Lastly, if anyone else wants a free beta reader service from me, a professional woman in her 40’s with beta reading experience, I will gladly let you know if I think I’ll be able to get into your story and help you out too. I will always be honest if I don’t think I’d do your story justice or if I start to read it and can’t get into it enough to give you a good service, as disappointed as you’ll be that I’ve changed my mind, I will tell you so I don’t waste anyone’s time.
