I've just heard that my good friend and colleague Lady Val Corbett died in her sleep last night. For those that don't know, Lady Val was a force of nature - she started the Corbett Network in honour of her husband Lord Corbett who was a amazing advocate for prison reform. She has been gathering organisations that support prisoner rehabilitation ever since. She also ran a ladies' lunch once a quarter for professional women, and the profits all went towards the Corbett Network. I was honoured to be a volunteer helper at her events. Lady Val wrote a testimonial for my book Wing of an Angel and was a great supporter of Beyond Recovery, the social enterprise I ran for ten years. She also had Derrick and Omar as speakers at one of her events. Happy belated birthday 🎁 to wonderful @Louise Knighton the quiet , funny, wise and brave woman. I have so much appreciation for Louise and everything she does in the world. She’s a wonderful volunteer Buddy for our prison scheme. She’s an author, a podcast host and a coach. She’s a pioneer and is one of the warmest, sweetest women I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
