@Cristian Florea I have updated now with async. I actually used async initially, but then tried the fetch-try-catch method just to see if I could. I prefer async/await though!

@Joshua Tillman for me it was a 12 week bootcamp, crazy 😅😅😅 I was up past midnight almost every night and back for more learning everyday. My husband and kids pretty much didn’t see me lol. I remember when I had to complete a react API challenge I was up till 5am, hadn’t done that since uni 😆 it was really full on and it pushed me to the limit. I learned a lot, and some valuable life lessons which I don’t regret but for the money I wouldn’t recommend as it doesn’t get you job ready unless you’ve got a lot more experience going in. I got lucky and managed to get into a startup about 6months after the bootcamp which let me keep practicing but like I said, I knew I didn’t fully understand even basic concepts so I’m at a point now where I know I need to re-learn everything properly. You’re going to love react, will look forward to seeing you completing the challenges in Jan, and hopefully by then I’ll be confident enough to give you some feedback !! 😎

@Adelin Rosca Thanks I'll look into it. I initially used item.id, but then i got an error saying something about two items having the same key, so i just used this random method, but i'll do some console logging to see what happens. Thank for the feedback 🙏

@Adelin Rosca I made those changes, at first it felt broken taking away the button and having onchange, but i see what you mean about removing the handleSort function and just sorting in the render method, that way its always sorted based on whatever is in the sortOrder state 💡💡 Thanks for explaining that, hopefully with time I’ll get better at spotting these patterns!

@Cristian Florea thanks for the feedback 🙏 I made those updates by adding a default (unsorted) option, and refactored the sorting into a separate function so as not to have long if else statements in the render method.
