It is actully more like an Ability bar where you always have like 8 cards which can change before you engage with challenges. I continued a little and had the following idead which created new designe challenges: I now think it would be great to have cards for Items like, Bow, Sword, climbing rope, torch ..., where each of them comes with universal ability. For example Hunting bow would grant the abilty Hunters Sight, which not only works for figthing but in all kinds of challenges (climbing, traversing a forest, hunting..). So an Item is more like a magical relic which carrys the memorry of its former use and owner and grants an ability. Now I have to decide how I want to use mutiple Abilitys for one typ of Item. 1. I could just have mutiple Cards/ abilitys for the same typ of item. That would then requare to have universal item typs like bow or climbing axe but I wanted to have more spefic ones like hunting Bow, War Bow, Recurve bow ... but that would mean to carry 3 bows to have 3 bow abilitys. 2. I could have one Typ of item be build by compnets each granting an Ability. Dragone Steel Balde -> Clear a Path (close aoe ability.) + Oak Hilt -> Steady Grip (gives resistence) Which would requare to always have full item sets, or basic cards for all componets as fallback which could mean a lot of fallback cards or I could lean more into the supernaturall Memory setting and say a hilt alone can be used to get it memory ability but I wanted a little more grounded setting. If you have ideas on this please share, if not also good sharing alone already makes it clearer for me :)
