A little more info on the HVAC saga. For those that don't know about it, here's the Readers Digest version of what you missed: We knew HVACs were potentially being stolen. We placed a Tile on our HVAC and it stayed there for a few months. Five days after listing, the Tile pinged in a location that it wasn't supposed to be, but only pings when near a phone with the app on it. The HVAC was gone and we filed a police report. No new pings. Filed with insurance and received cost minus our deductible. Decided to try a GPS tracker from LandAirSea. They reduced the sensitivity on it because HVACs move. NEW A couple of false alarms over the week as the HVAC kicked on with the heat. Battery on device died because of the false alarms and constant transmitting. Contacted LandAirSea and their engineers further reduced the sensitivity remotely. Charging and re-installation of device later tonight and will continue to work with LandSeaAir to see if their device is a viable solution. Great support from the company as we evaluate this option for finding our HVACs that sprout legs.
