Hello all, I produce and mix my own music, and in the Fix the Mix challenges, these processes are clearly delineated with gain staging and basically starting the mix process from scratch. I usually mix a bit as I produce - volume, panning, some effects etc. Is it really a lot better to bounce and everything and do a separate mixing session, or is it okay to mix as you go; what are the pros and cons, and any tips for mixing as you go to keep it clean and such? You can find my original mix of this track (which I also attempted to master) labelled as my Fix-The-Mix submission. Problems that I have with the original include: Not intimate sounding enough for the style I had in mind Over processed on every channel (Contributing to point one) Applying what I have learned, this is what I have now. question why can I not get my vocals on time on the music in Logic Pro? (I tried move own the beat)
