Week 1
Struggling with Hanon No4 my left hand finger 4&5 really poor. But that’s what this exercise is focused on, so will keep working on it. Fell my practice speeds are increasing a bit quicker. At the sane time getting better with playing at slower speeds but sub dividing the time between beats.

Didn’t feel I did a good practice session tonight going to go back and listen to video lesson get me focused.

Week 0
- Implementation Intention: My 15 minutes of practice will happen around 8:30 on weekdays and 2 sessions on Saturday one around 11:00 - 12:00 the other around 8:00. Sunday as I have a lesson I will have a break. - Biggest Roadblock: Will be my approach which will probably fluctuate. I will come to love the sound of the metronome.

Hello everyone! This is Valeria, from Oxford! - Current Musical Goal: Get more confident on pieces that require very different melodies on each hand; being able to more quickly play music just from looking at sheet music - Biggest Frustration: Right now it's time to practice, as I'm a very busy student. - The Dream Piece: I have too many because I absolutely love piano pieces, but probably either Liszt's La Campanella or Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 3rd movement.

Hi everyone, Just been looking through the guidance that Ben has provided for week 0 & 1. What really stands out for me it’s not about my ability or speed of learning it’s about my mindset. I think this is the main challenge more then the actual piano, from this it will reflect my level of success. As with a lot of things in life we can over think the concepts and strategies. I think I will need to revisit the guidance Ben gives about my mindset and try keep this core principle at the centre of my approach. Thoughts from anyone?

I think I understand the mechanics of playing but it the nuances for example in Jazz playing with some swing. Is that any clearer.
