Just mentioned this in the last meeting, but here's a collection of shorts I made about movie monsters in marriage therapy. It took us about 2 - 3 hours to film each of these and they're all the same location so it was pretty easy.

Since launching the SSC: ✅ Feature films and short films by SSC members have been produced and released ✅ More films we wrote are currently in pre-production ✅ We’ve hosted live table reads with real actors ✅ Scripts have been requested and sent to production companies ✅ Members have completed full Christmas and horror screenplays in as little as 30–45 days ✅ Members have built writing habits, finished pages, and gained real momentum And this is just the beginning! We have a LOT happening this month! Writing, filmmaking, networking, coffee, and we're even going to MAKE some movies! Here’s what’s coming up: Monday, Oct. 5 – Table Read: NY State of Mind We’re doing a FULL feature table read of @Judith Halbreich's "New York State of Mind"! Come listen along and help give feedback afterward. 🎃 Friday, Oct. 9 – Make a Horror Short Film in 21 Days! Our Horror Short Film Challenge officially begins! We’ll talk about pre-production, production, and post-production, and I’ll reveal the THREE easy mystery requirements that must appear in your film. Then you have 21 DAYS to make it! Tuesday, Oct. 13 – Coffee & Creativity Grab some coffee and hang out. We’ll talk about what we’re writing, what we want to produce, new ideas, and anything else that gets us excited to create! Thursday, Oct. 15 – Follow-Up Thursday Time to actually SEND those follow-ups! If a producer, director, agent, manager, or industry contact has your script, we’ll use this time to hold each other accountable and give them a friendly nudge! Wednesday, Oct. 21 – Production Lab Bring whatever you're working on! We’ll talk productions, upcoming shoots, actors, locations, equipment, editing, problems you’re trying to solve, and anything else that helps us MAKE more movies! 👻 Friday, Oct. 30 – HORROR FILMS DUE!!! Not a meeting, but this is the deadline! If you're taking part in our 21-Day Horror Short Film Challenge, get your finished movie turned in!

This October, we'll have another Make a Short Film in 21 Days Challenge! Starting Friday, October 9, you’ll have exactly 21 DAYS to write, shoot, edit, and finish your own Horror Short Film! Any kind of Horror counts! Comedy Horror, Zombie, Found Footage, Slasher, Supernatural, Psychological, Monster, Found Footage & more. Have fun with it! Here are the rules: On October 9, I’ll reveal THREE REQUIREMENTS that must appear somewhere in your film! Your mission: 🎬 Make a brand-new Horror Short Film (no budget required) ✍️ Write, shoot & edit it within the 21 days 🎃 Include all 3 mystery requirements Use whatever you have! A phone is totally fine! Finish and submit your movie by making it a Community Post by Friday, October 30. Your film can be scary, funny, weird, ridiculous, suspenseful, or anything in between, as long as it fits the Horror genre. 🏆 BEST FILM WINS A TROPHY! I'll watch all of the completed films and choose one winner for Best Film. I'll be looking at creativity, storytelling, use of the three mystery requirements, and most importantly, what you were able to create in just 21 days! On October 30, we’ll celebrate everyone who FINISHED! Who’s in?!
