Chord Tone Mapping
Hey guys thought I would share this as this is helping me find/hear the chord tones when working with the 4 formation. Green indicates the root note while the orange are the chordal tones.

@Mike Setunsky thank you. That does help a lot. I am new to this minor conversion thinking so I was a little lost on if these things were related or not. I was thinking of crossing out the mode call outs on the picture but wanted to leave them in there incase I was thinking about this wrong and wanted someone to correct me (like you).

@Joel Jakubowicz thank you for the tips Joel!
Hollow body Feedback
Anyone know how to deal with hollow body feedback? I just recently picked up a 25 year old Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor and it plays great after cleaning and setting it up. At bedroom levels I get feedback on what seems to be only a couple notes on the fretboard. Seems like certain frequencies want to feed back.

Live Lesson Recording
Hey Armin, Will the live lessons be recorded to be viewed later? Unfortunately with the time zone difference I will not be able to catch it live.
A theory Question for Armin
Hello Armin, I’ve been watching your Minor conversion tutorials. They are incredibly clear and filled with applicable information, though I am a bassist. I also own and study the Pat Martino book you often reference. My question is based on my observation that Pat Martino uses a similar 4 inversions of Barry Harris’ Major 6 diminished scale but treating the tone center as a Lydian instead of the Ionian. Hence the B-flat major 6 and G Minor 7 inversions though it’s in the key of F Major. Am I a correct to assume that the B flat major is actually a Lydian? Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us all. Rudy Sarzo

@Armin Mir thanks that helps me a lot when it comes to understanding the modes and how they can be applied to these formations.

Be able to improvise and understand jazz to the point where I’m competent and can maybe gig for the first time.
