What does vacation look like for you?
As I enjoy my view for the week, I asked myself, what does vacation look like for me? Then I thought? “It’s probably different for each individual person. Let’s chat

Why do things happen?
So, the last couple weeks, I've been reading this book, "The Meaning of Your Life" by Professor Arthur Brooks. It's an very interesting book, that describes how to overcome a challenge maybe all of us have...how do I rewire my brain from being on execute all the time to thinking and reflecting on wonder and beauty, and truly enjoy this life. This particular section really has me wrestling...it's "why do things happen the way they do in my life?" and it gives 5 statements to set the playing field. Of these, which do you rank #1? Of these, is there an order you might put them in? have you every thought about this?

14325 Even though God has a plan for you, He allows you free will to find that path. Sometimes it takes you longer than it should to see the path.
🔥 Win | Work | Worship 🔥
Let’s stop pretending everything’s good… when we know it’s not. This isn’t for the highlight reel. This is for the people who actually want to grow. 1️⃣ WIN What did you actually do right this week? Not what you planned to do.Not what you said you were going to do. What did you follow through on? Did you stay disciplined when it got inconvenient?Did you choose growth over comfort? Did you keep a promise to yourself? Because if you didn’t win in private…you’re not winning. 2️⃣ WORK What are you really building right now? Not what you talk about. What are you executing on? • Personally• Professionally Be honest. Because “I’m working on it” usually means… you’re not. Growth doesn't just happen. It's intentional. It's scheduled. It's uncomfortable. 3️⃣ WORSHIP Let’s go there… What has your time with God actually looked like this week? Not your intentions.Your actions. Focused?Distracted?Nonexistent? Because we don’t drift toward God…we drift away. No guilt. Just truth. But don’t confuse grace with permission to stay the same. Awareness creates alignment.Alignment fuels acceleration. Drop yours below. No fluff. No filters. Just growth. 💪🏾🔥

Win - I got better at picking battles this week. I like to argue and I like to win. Especially when I am right from a technical perspective, but in business often requires flexibility and grace. Policies are often ambiguous at times to allow for nuance and subjectivity. I tend to push for clarity and objectivity and it can get in the way of building relationships. I let one go this week and I believe we were all better for it. Work - My family is really getting stronger. I have had some great conversations with family members about business, finance and leadership this week and that is a big. People tend to avoid asking me about those topics because I tend to want to tell people the thing I know they don’t want to hear. I am getting better at making my point but also trying to be supportive. That tends to encourage more of those conversations or opportunities to influence. Even if they don’t agree with me and do what they want to do, the conversation may influence other decisions in the future and the more conversations we have, the more influence I have. Worship - This has been poor. I have no consistency when it comes to daily worship but my fellowship with a congregation has increased substantially in 2026. We also really need to get our kid more involved with worship because we are failing on that front.

“To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.25.1-5.NKJV
