Most of us know the type of people we would like to read our books. However, I find this to be different than your ideal reader. It's so easy to envision a group of people who enjoy a certain genre or trope, but it's another level to be able to outline your ideal reader. That ONE person with specific likes, dislikes, hobbies, quirks, etc. Knowing who that person is makes it so much easier to feel like you are talking directly to them.

Sometimes it can help to share both, especially when you're starting out. You can find your style and easily reach other readers through common interests.

WHAT you post matters a heck of a lot more than WHEN you post.

Posting every day doesn't matter if you're just posting 💩. We talk a lot about consistency, but showing up day after day doesn't matter if you're posting the same stuff that your readers don't care about.
