I’ve enjoyed reading over everyone’s intros and am invigorated by the common theme I've felt in them all - we all have that hope that life will be incredible - even if we are redirected - maybe many - times! I can’t wait to get to know you all more, and I see one familiar face - hey @Mae Vloedmans girl you’re glowing and I’ve really enjoyed following your story being in Bali officially! A bit about me - I’ve been on the pursuit of following my dreams (that have changed several times already at 31) and going on adventures since I can remember. I’m from a small town in Kentucky, so a lot of this has stemmed from curiosity of what’s out there. I got a masters degree in marine science, worked in that field for three years then felt stuck, so took a sabbatical to get my Yoga certification in Bali. Shortly after I left my career to travel more (Europe this time). That began the latest (and lengthy almost 2yr) life transition where I definitely met my depths. I’ve always been faith-filled (girl from the Bible Belt) but met God in a lot of different ways this last season and can say that hands down am continually surrendering to be guided on the path that is uniquely mine. Who knows where that will take me, but I’ve had a silver lining of accepting a new remote job in health tech this last week. I’m excited but know when the time comes and I feel the nudge I’ll burn it all down again on to the next adventure I’m being called toward. I’m realizing stepping into this season that community who have a similar mindset and can call us out on limiting thoughts is necessary. I’m glad to have found you all and am so excited to talk more!
