Hey Friends. Quick check in!
I have been re branding. I have not forgot about you sweet friends and OG's of this group. Tell me, what are you working on in the comments! I had my brand photos done yesterday and I had so much fun. I am also looking forward to going to this event this year coming up. Scale with Stability!

The person who puts the cookies on the lowest shelf wins. šŸŖ
Donald Miller had a great video about breaking down your website "cognitive load." As a small business owner, your goal isn’t to sound like the smartest person in the room,it’s to be the most understood. When we use "high cognitive load" language, those long, complicated paragraphs about our history or our "process," it’s like handing our customers an 8-pound bowling ball. Eventually, they’re going to drop it and walk away because it’s just too much work to carry. Instead, lower the shelf. Use simple statements that solve the customer’s problem immediately. When you simplify your message, you stop handing out bowling balls and start handing out balloons. People will actually listen because it’s easy to engage. Thank you Donald. Miller!

And I love an in person anything! I need people! I am making myself do the scary things I avoid doing! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17tkes1nch/

Who are you waiting for permission from?
A few years ago, I thought I needed permission to charge what I'm worth. Permission to call myself a strategist, not "just" a photographer. Permission to say no to clients who weren't the right fit. Permission to work only Tuesday through Thursday. Permission to show up messy, undone, and still be taken seriously. I kept waiting for someone to tell me I was "ready." So I did what most people-pleasers do: I worked harder. I said yes to everything. I undercharged and over-delivered. I posted what I thought people wanted to see. And I was exhausted. Here's what I finally figured out: Nobody was going to give me permission. Not my competitors. Not the "experts" I was following. Not even my clients. The only person holding me back was me. So I gave myself permission to: āœ”ļø Build my business around my ADHD brain, not against it āœ”ļø Charge $4,500 for a brand refresh (and feel good about it) āœ”ļø Only work 3 days a week āœ”ļø Use AI to scale without burning out āœ”ļø Show up as a messy, Jesus-loving mom building something real And everything changed. My revenue went from $40K to projecting $95K this year. My calendar has margin. My clients get better results because I'm not running on fumes. You don't need permission to build the business you actually want. You just need to stop waiting for someone else to tell you it's okay. What are you waiting for permission to do? Always Chasing Joy, Sara
