Tuesday News Day! Natural Wisdom. Rooted in Science.
Good morning, beautiful friends! You’ll find as we go, that I love to research and discover the science-backed information behind why plants work inside and assist our bodies. So! Each week I’ll be diving deep into magazines and googles and books to get that information to you! TUESDAY NEWS DAY! 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 Could Plant Compounds Help Support Women Through Menopause? One of the most interesting areas of women’s health research this year isn’t focused on a new prescription drug. It’s focused on polyphenols, the naturally occurring compounds found in herbs, berries, tea, cocoa, olives, colorful vegetables, and many fruits. A 2026 review explored how these plant compounds may interact with the gut microbiome, inflammation, and hormone changes during menopause. Researchers suggest that polyphenols may help support healthy communication between the gut, immune system, and brain—areas that are often affected during the menopausal transition. They also noted that this is an exciting and growing field, but more human clinical trials are still needed before firm recommendations can be made. (RSC Publishing) 🌱 What does this mean for us? As herbalists have long understood, our health isn’t usually changed by a single miracle herb. It’s shaped by the plants we invite into our lives every day. Think: 🍓 Berries 🌿 Rosemary 🫖 Green tea 🫒 Olive oil 🫐 Blueberries 🌱 Sage 🍇 Dark grapes 🥬 Colorful vegetables These foods don’t “cure” menopause—but they may help support the body’s natural resilience while nourishing the gut and reducing oxidative stress as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. (MDPI) 🌸 Practical Takeaway This week, challenge yourself to eat the rainbow. Instead of asking, “What supplement should I buy?” ask: “How many different plants can I nourish myself with today?” Sometimes the most powerful medicine begins on our dinner plate.

I have been using chicory daily. In my coffee and whenever I have a smoothie or yogurt. Recently I was without it for several days and I noticed my neck went out of alignment and I experienced pinched nerve pains. Then I made sure I found my chicory and started using it ASAP.☺️
