A Struggle I've been having lately is finding joy in the mundane and not having the ability to grant myself permission to tap into the things that give me pure joy easily. Some restrictions are finances and some are scheduling and others are parental responsibilities.. anyone related? Any ideas? .

Hi!! What I have found helpful can be a two pronged approach. First sit with your feelings - when you are alone and won’t be interrupted - maybe before bed or in the car (‘run an errand’ 😉) - start by maybe putting on calming music like Solfeggio frequencies or binaural beats (both on Apple or Spotify if you are unfamiliar) an noticing your breath - breathe in thru the nose, hold for 3 seconds an then gentle exhale through the mouth. And then shift your attention inward - see if you can identify a sensation, put your hand on it and just feel. Maybe even ask it questions ‘what’s Bothering us? What do we need right now?’ Try to sit with yourself in presence. And/or ask Hashem to help guide you as to what you need…Heineini. We are allowed to be sad and feel darkness - it’s how we move through it that evolves us. Afterwards, you can also add a gratitude practice - list of 10+ (or 3+, or 1 +, depending on where you are) or so things that you have and are grateful for, including and maybe especially what we may take for granted ( a place to sleep in last night , eyesight, a car, legs that move, a mind that can read and think, etc) - You’ve got this - Sending hugs 💕
