Hi everyone! I’m new here 😊 I don’t know if it’s too late, but I wanted to give the Dice World Building Challenge a try, so here we are. I combined it with another personal challenge of mine, which is drawing every day for a year. Because of that, these sketches aren’t big or highly polished, but it was really fun to try. I think I’ll start including this challenge in some of my drawing days. I’d love to hear what you think about the different sketches! Btw I'm new to these kind of sketches I don't normally draw stuff like that, except for characters..

I actually dreamed up this guy (literally, in a dream) earlier in 2025 and developing him has been fun. This creature was in a sci-fi/modern setting. It was kind of a strange exercise though, because in the dream he kept changing what he looked like, so my design had a lot of unnecessary features added and shapes that didn't make sense. When I design characters, I draw them mostly from memory in the early stages. What detail don't I feel like drawing again? Did I forget to add a detail? Those don't make it into the final design. The gesture and the posture of the character means more to me than anything else at this stage as well. He's not exactly perfect, and I stopped working on him, but maybe I will pick him up again, especially when it comes to adding functionality to his form. Also it's not a real character until it exists in doodle form too.

What do you think of this character i created? I know his jacket is too poorly made but when i planned it i didnt think it would've been so boring to do it. Anyway this character belongs to the cyberpunk universe where he is a "netrunner", those things you see coming out of his head are my kind of graphic interpretation of what hacking attacks could look like, i hope this isn't overly complicated for someone that isnt familiar with that universe😅😅.
