How do you know when an offering has been accepted?
Sound on for this one! One of the ways I personally discern that an offering has been accepted is that it often seems as though the life or essence has been drawn from it. Rather than developing mold, attracting flies, or producing an unpleasant smell, it simply becomes dry and hard. Here’s an example of an offering I gave to Obatala—a soft, sweet coconut bun, which is one of my favorite offerings to present to him. Of course, everyone’s spiritual practice is different, and this is simply how I experience and interpret offerings within my own tradition and relationship with Obatala. Let me know if you would be interested in diving deeper into offerings and altar building 🤍 With love and gratitude, Sade Ifadayo

Herbs 101 is live now!
I have curated 5 modules based on specific intentions to introduce 10 herbs. The purpose of this introduction course is to show that simple, everyday herbs carry spiritual properties that can support us in our everyday tasks. Have fun! Experiment! And most importantly, lets continue to build upon our knowledge together. With love, Sade Ifadayo 💛🤍❤️

Herbs 101 coming soon!
I have been working on a beginner friendly Herb course which should be posted in the next 1-2 days! This will go over 10 different herbs (well technically 9 herbs and 1 mineral) that are easy to locate and easy to use. Happy Moon-Day!

Building your herbal apothecary
As someone who owns over 35 (and counting) herbs and roots; People always ask me: “How did you get so many herbs” “Where do you buy them from” “How did you know what to buy” My answer to a lot of things within the spiritual realm is research, research, research! And from multiple sources! So you can compare information as what one person may know may differ from the next based on their own practices, teachings and region in which they reside. It also helps you build a well rounded understanding and practice. Also, once you start building; there is no shame in labelling your containers. Rather be safe than sorry. Two, in terms of actually purchasing items to grow my apothecary, once you know what you are looking for you’ll notice you can find herbs almost anywhere. Whether it’s from a botanica or the spice section in the grocery store. Salt is still salt even if one is labelled Atlantic sea salt and the other is pink Himalayan. A herb is a herb regardless if it cost $1 or $100. Just as an example Our ancestors didn’t always have the funds or the resources to buy every little thing they needed so that is also why many herbs have multiple different uses - more bang for your buck. Just some food for thought on this stunning Friday 💭
