Starting over
New here! I lost 75 pounds 3 years ago taking semaglutide within a year of being on it. I’ve been off 2 years and have slowly gained some back. So glad I found this awesome group and Tara. I just ordered Tirz to lose the 25 pounds I’ve gained back. I will say when I was on compounded semaglutide I would have nauseous randomly, random vomiting due to reflux, and constipation. The highest dose I could handle was 2.5mg at 30 units a week. I’m looking forward to trying Tirz with less side effects. Any advice would be great.

Start low. I take my tirz every 3 days. I started at 0.2mg every 3 days. They to 0.4mg. Then to 0.6mg. Have been at 0.6mg for 3 months, with great help to inflammation and steadily losing 1lb per week while eating high protein, decent calories, and lifting 5 days/week. Have had zero negative side effects. My personal opinion after following all the GLP forums is that the “starting” dose of 2.5mg is just way to high for most people. Certainly too high as a starting dose, but even as a recurring weekly dose. Not saying that people may not eventually need that dosing. Everyone is different. But the low, slow, split dose method seems to work well for many and avoids the horrible side effects I see so many people dealing with.

@Taylor Tribble that depends. What do you want your dose to be? If you do 1ml in your 10mg vial, then every unit is 0.1mg, or every 10 units is 1mg. If you wanted a 0.2mg dose, you’d draw to 2 units. If you wanted a 0.5mg dose, you’d draw up 5 units.
Help please
Hi. I’m brand new here. Not to peptides but new to mixing them myself. Just received my first order from the peptique of retatrutide and there’s no instructions. I need help getting started please.

First: head to YouTube and search “reconstituting peptides”. Watch half a dozen of those and you’ll have a great idea of how to do it. Second: head to Google and type in “peptides calculator”. Go through the exercise with half a dozen of them, and you’ll start to really understand the dosing. Third: once you have a solid grasp on one and two, then decide how you want to mix/dilute yours, and go for it. Most folks like to do a 1ml per mg reconstituting (unless it’s a painful Pep and they want it extra diluted). In your case, you’d use 1.5ml of BAC for your 15mg vial. In that way, 1 unit on your syringe is equal to 0.1mg of meds, or 10 Units equals 1mg. Math is easier that way
Retatrutide
Has anyone experienced fatigue after starting Reta? I’m only on my second dose and started with 250mcg but feel unusually tired, along with the other typical GI side effects. Also - someone on another platform said it caused her to have hormonal issues, missed period, etc. I’ve not heard of this so I was just curious. Thanks!

Hunter Williams just did a podcast on why GLPs cause fatigue and what to do about it. You can search his channel on YouTube or Apple Podcasts and find it
SS-31 Review
I started a round of SS-31 (from The Peptique), and thought I’d give an update since this is one that not many folks talk about. I’ve never done a mitochondria detox, so I wanted to do SS-31 to “prime” my system for the upcoming mitochondria peps I want to do, since I’ve been exposed to the same microplastics and environmental contaminants we all have living on this earth. I started with a 250mcg dose, because I was terrified of the exhaustion so many talk about when starting. Even at 250mcg, I could feel the fatigue a bit the first few days, and even got nauseous at one of my workouts. But then that stopped. I’m now feeling really good with steady energy through the day, and no afternoon crash. This morning I was checking my sleep stats. 30-45 minutes of Deep Sleep is about average for me. I get excited if I see 45-50 minutes of deep sleep on my sleep score. For the past week and a half I’ve had 1-1/2 hours of deep sleep almost nightly!!! I love seeing biological markers that help you know a pep is doing something, so this was exciting to me, and also helps explain why I am feeling so good! I’m a little over a week in, and planning to do the 250mcg for a full 2 weeks before bumping to 500mcg. The goal is to get to 1-2mg by the end of a 12 week cycle. I am also pairing with Glutathione (liposomal) and high doses of vitamin C. I’ll post the podcast whose protocol I am following for this below in the comments if you want to hear it. Studies of SS-31 have used doses up to 40mg, so I have no concerns about “overdosing” with my protocol. These studies have also been over multiple years, and have indicated that you may not need to cycle SS-31. Optimizing protocols generally call for 1-5mg daily over 8-12 weeks, which is what I plan to do. I got The Peptique SS-31 and reconstituted with 2ml BAC. There’s been no sting (which I’ve heard is sometimes a thing for SS-31?), and I think that adding the 2ml helps with that (this is also Tara’s recommendation on her cheat sheet). It does seem to be a thicker peptide, and takes a minute to draw out and also get the air out after I draw it.

Update: only made it up to 500mcg and am stopping after 1 vial. It made me foggy headed and with a low-grade headache every day I took it. I took 2 small breaks where I had events and didn’t want to take peps with me, and I felt great those days, so I know it was the SS-31. That may mean it was doing what it was supposed to? But I didn’t want to keep feeling like garbage

@Bethany Heaton I saw that post on Dr B’s page! Glad to hear you are having success with that. I might try that next time. I would like to try Mots-c at some point, but am scared of the inj site reactions! Have you had any issue with that? I’m starting a round of 5-amino-1mq and just added testosterone injections along with my KPV and Tirz. So feeling like I have enough pokes going on in the week right now 😂 But am definitely adding this SS-31/Mots-c idea to my spring possibilities list. I also did contemplating moving the SS-31 to bed time, but I’m one of those weirdos that wants to feel what my body is doing, so wanted to keep it in the AM. Now that it’s not a new thing for me, my next round might be at night. SS-31 pm, mots-c AM?
BPC -157
Hi everyone. What’s the latest on BPC and any risk of cancer due to angiogenesis? I’ve been having some difficulty recovering after workouts and wanted to re-start it by itself. I had previously taken it in the GLOW and KLOW blends, had good results with GLOW but not so much with KLOW. Can you take it continuously or should you take a break? Thanks!

I look at it like this: BPC is meant for acute cases of injuries or ailments. You take it when something needs to be fixed, then get off of it. There is no need to keep the angiogenesis high and risk it growing unwanted things just for the heck of it. Kind of like antibiotics. You take the antibiotics when you want to fix something. Once it is fixed, you don’t just stay on the antibiotics forever since they helped you feel better once. If you are having difficulty recovering, I would look at root cause: Are you getting enough protien? Is your testosterone level optimized? Where are your IGF-1 levels? If those are low, a Tesa or ipa would be more appropriate.
