@Yehudi Matthew Hi - great to meet you here! Sending greetings to the north!
INTRODUCING: "Fix-Your-Room" Challenge ๐ŸŽ‰
Mixes not translating from your DAW to your car? We call it the dreaded โ€œcar testโ€, and itโ€™s plagued producers for decades. So why does it happen? As you may know, room acoustics play a massive role in our ability to hear mixes accurately. Without a dialed in room, your mixes will never translate from your DAW to the car without massive gaps in sonic quality, even if you're using studio-grade headphones. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re partnering with our friends at Sonarworks and GIK Acoustics to host our very first "Fix-Your-Room" Challenge ๐Ÿ”ฅ We'll teach you: - How to build the perfect studio without a math or physics PhD - The correct way to position your monitor speakers in your room - Where to place your acoustic treatment (and why) - What treatment to use (and what to avoid) - Taking a room from good to great with room correction software - How to get your mixes & masters to sound EXACTLY the same outside your room as they do in your studio - no more car tests necessary The challenge kicks off on Monday, June 12th at 10am PST. Register using the link below! https://go.mastering.com/fix-your-room-challenge-email See you there!!! ๐Ÿ’ช Michael GM - Mastering.com

So cool! I am in!
Free Challenge (April 18th)
This month's Fix-The-Mix is going to be free to attend for members of this Skool group. We're going to mix and finish a track thatโ€™s never, ever been mixed before. Hereโ€™s the details: Artist โ†’ Spirit City Song โ†’ I know what I want Genre โ†’ Pop Rock And weโ€™re going to perform: 1. A master (of the rough mix) 2. A heavy hitting mix to go back and fix the issues we identify 3. Then finalize the track for all platforms Each of these is on an individual day, where weโ€™ll walk through each concept in depthโ€ฆ And youโ€™ll walk away knowing exactly how to approach your next track. It's happening April 18th (Tuesday) โ†’ April 20th (Thursday) // 10am Pacific. Register here: https://go.mastering.com/free-challenge1681318244017?el=ftm-skool-12th-april See you there ๐Ÿ’ช -Rob

Also just signed up - looking forward to it - it will for sure be awesome! :)
Oprah's Despair
Here's the track we worked on today! For those that weren't there for the ending I sent everyone off with an opera performance. I shamefully mispelled opera with an 'h' at the end...thus I give you "Oprah's despair". Some more we could have done with this but we decided to stick with what we showed you and nothing more! Just brought it up to listening level.

Really cool epic song! I also had to leave before end due to time shift with Germany
