Your funnel isn't broken
Had a coach client convinced her funnel was broken because of a 70% drop-off at step two. Turns out that step was a qualifying question. The "drop-offs" were tire-kickers self-selecting out. The 30% who made it through? Converting at 40%. We stopped trying to plug the leaks. Instead we added more depth to the middle stages and built retargeting only for people who passed that filter. Conversion stayed the same. Ad spend dropped by half. Sometimes the best funnel optimization isn't keeping more people in. It's letting the wrong ones out faster.

Hey Dan, doing well! Been around a few months now. You?
The patience thing is killing me
Helped a coach last month look at her analytics. She was mass-producing stuff for 8 weeks, getting basically nothing. Ready to quit. I told her to keep going for 4 more weeks. Not because I had some magic answer, just because I've seen this pattern before. Week 10, one of her posts hit. Got her 2 sales calls. Now she's actually building momentum. The annoying part? There was no way to know week 10 was the week. Could've been week 14. Could've been week 6 if she'd tried a different angle earlier. I don't have a clean takeaway here. Just noticing that the people I work with who get results aren't necessarily better at content. They just didn't stop. Anyone else find the waiting game brutal? How do you stay sane when the numbers aren't moving?

The lead magnet nobody downloaded
helped a client last month who built this beautiful 30-page ebook as her lead magnet. spent weeks on it. downloads? maybe 4 in a month. so we scrapped it and made a one-page checklist instead. same topic, just way more focused. 47 downloads in the first week. and the people who grabbed it actually replied to her welcome email. turns out nobody wants to read 30 pages. they want a quick win they can use today. what's been your best performing lead magnet format? pdfs, quizzes, templates, something else? drop it below, genuinely curious what's working right now
