Hey Brothers, sorry for the lack of content the last month. Work got super busy and my father in law has been in the hospital. I hope to have some more content dropping here after the holiday. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving day of family, friends, and food.
I realized something recently — it’s easy to preach endurance, but harder to live it in the quiet seasons. The woods don’t ask you for your resume. They don’t care if your channel is growing or if you are doing well at work. They only ask: “Can you stay present when nothing is happening?” That’s Stoicism in the wild — not just enduring hardship, but embracing stillness. This week, I’m reminding myself (and you) that progress often looks like patience. Stepping back and being still can be forward movement. 🔥 What are you currently enduring — or learning to wait for?
So I have a tremendous fear of heights especially man made heights. I've been doing some training for zipline and had to face my fear of heights lean into discomfort and ridea 400' zipline. My heart definitely jumped and was beating out of my chest but I did it and wish I had pictures or video lol. What discomfort or fear are you leaning into this week?
There was a time I couldn’t control my breathing—panic had me trapped. Then I went back to the wild. The cold, the silence, the struggle. Out there I found peace again. That’s when I realized Stoicism isn’t just philosophy—it’s survival. 🌲 This is why I built Wilderness Stoicism—because if it helped me, it can help other men too.
