👋 Hey everyone, I'm Gemma!
I wanted to introduce myself as you'll be seeing a bit more of me around here! I'm Theo's wife and the person behind the camera, behind the scenes and behind the mic co-hosting the podcast! 🎙️ This is a family business we're building together — Theo handles all things skateboarding and I'm here to help keep the community running smoothly, direct you to the right places and make sure this is a great place to be. 🛹 A little about me — I'm a stay at home mum to two little ones with a third on the way 🤰 but I'll always endeavour to get back to you as quickly as I can! Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything — so glad you're here! 🤘 — Gemma

Bro, loving to see the consistancy and effort your putting in day in day out. Progession is a given, when consitant effort is present. Inspires me to get after it a bit more myself.
Fly out fun
Cheers @Theo Bridgeman, helped me jag a couple of transition fly outs at Pizzey today. Keen as for next sesh!

A big reason adults struggle with skating isn’t ability…It’s fear of getting hurt. So in this episode, we break down exactly how to stay safe, build confidence, and progress properly. We go deep on: - learning how to fall (this is HUGE) - why knee slides change everything - how to warm up + feel the park - building confidence step-by-step Full episode here: https://youtu.be/1YirGz8xa58 What’s the thing you’re most nervous about right now?

Always been terrified of rock to fakies. More a psychological fear of getting hung up and falling backwards. Basically any trick where it’s all happening behind me. Backside Ollie’s onto a gutter or ledge, frontside rock n rolls. Pads, helmet and hand held definitely help get through the initial fear.
Which parks would you like to skate?
Was chatting with @Hannah Ware yesterday and we talked about the upcoming school holidays. Pizzey can be a scooter kid nightmare during school holidays, so I wanted to see if there are any other parks you’d like to skate? I’m thinking Varsity, Arundel, Weka Parklands (potentially going to be busy), Pimpama… any other suggestions?

Might be just me, but I don’t mind Mudgeeraba skate park. The new section is pretty mellow but a bit tight (not heaps of flat in between quarters) but nothing huge, has a few roll in areas. Never crazy busy.

Middle aged dude, trying to wind back the clock, and meet some new people who share love of rolling.
