Having been out of action for a few days because of ‘life’ things (home repairs leading to an achy back, and a mild bout of diarrhoea), I’m glad to get back to training today. Admittedly, I did think of holding off for another 24 hours but, as it stands while I write this, I’ve just finished my post-lunch session and I’m glad I didn’t. I don’t know if I’ll do much else today, so here’s what I’ve done thus far: - 10 minutes rope flow Steel clubs (4 x 10 reps of each, followed by 1 minute rest): - Squats – 12 kg - Front strike left and right: 8 kg and then 10 kg (well chuffed to use the 10) - Chest press – 8 and 10 kg https://youtu.be/ABWND7UMixw A beautiful sunrise today. Roman Chair =========== My new Roman Chair arrived a couple of days back but I hadn’t used it as yet (due to the aforementioned dodgy stomach) but also because with the foot rest, I don’t yet have the flexibility and movement to use it with the support (it feels too too short with it and I lack the confidence), and can only trust it if I can plant my feet. Anyhoo, we got there but a few short ‘hangs’ and some plank-type holds was enough for me today. I know this is going to help a lot, but it’s something I’m going to have to build up to. Lunch ===== Am back on my old favourite this week. Chicken thighs, heavy cream, cabbage, spinach and mushrooms. Plus some red onion because I hate throwing food out. 😀 Post-lunch Session ================ First, my 15 minute walk, and then because there was a cool breeze out there (or there was when I initially set out), and I need to start getting back on the bells, I did 100 snatches with a 12 kg bell at a fairly decent pace. https://youtu.be/iXK8E1irN84?si=SMnxQEo3IjUBdEsv
