Search Find Buy (SFB) Question - Amazon Terms of Service (ToS)
I understand SFB falls into a gray area and technically is against Amazon Terms of Service (ToS). My question is how strict is Amazon with enforcement? Are you seeing more aggressive detection or pattern-based enforcement from Amazon? I know SFB works very effectively - but I'm just thinking about this from a risk management perspective. With improvements in AI, I'd expect Amazon to get better at identifying non-organic ranking behavior over time. I'm trying to evaluate whether SFB is still viable for launch strategy or if it's becoming too risky long-term. @Trevin Peterson what are your thoughts on this? Would also love to get anyone's feedback and insight on this as well. Thank you!

@Trevin Peterson I couldn’t find anything explicitly connecting AI to SFB detection, but I did find a couple relevant pieces on how Amazon is moving towards automated, AI-driven enforcement: 1) How Amazon uses AI agents to support compliance screening of billions of transactions per day | Artificial Intelligence NOTE: This article shows how Amazon uses AI to analyze patterns and screen billions of transactions at scale (not seller-specific, but relevant from a systems standpoint) 2) AI-Powered Enforcement: What Amazon & Walmart Sellers Must Know in 2026 | IntegriSupply NOTE : This article is more of an industry take, but highlights how enforcement is becoming more AI-driven and automated (listing suppression, flags, etc.). Nothing directly on SFB, but it seems like Amazon is moving more toward pattern-based detection overall, which could make repeatable/engineered behaviors like SFB less reliable over time. Let me know what you think 💭

Not profitable
Been selling on Amazon for almost going on two years and still not making a profit. I’m very close to pulling the plug. I signed up with the PPC manager that is affiliated with amz champs. Was getting 100% a cost for a while and the best they could do is 50% a cost and still not profitable. Please someone help I reached out multiple times on this channel and received very little help.

I've been here before with my last product - I wasn't profitable for awhile either. It was very difficult to deal with. I understand where you're coming from. First step is make sure you know your numbers. Are you keeping track of your revenue and expenses? Are you running monthly P&L Statements? It may not just be the PPC Campaigns that are affecting your profits - could also be COGS, shipping, Amazon fees, etc. You need to confirm the root cause of your poor profits then fix it from there My recommendation is to reach out to SellAnalytix. They provide bookkeeping and accounting services for Amazon sellers. Been using them for the past few months and it's been a game changer. Then as far as PPC is concern you want to focus on two main levers: CTR and CVR CTR (Click Through Rate) - is traffic coming to your product listing. The main image is what primarily drives CTR along with the Title, Reviews and star rating. Maybe try split testing the main image to see if it helps with getting more clicks to your listing. CVR (Conversion Rate) - when customers click your listing is the offer compelling enough for them to buy the product. The higher the conversion rate, the cheaper PPC will be and the higher your organic rank will be. I would recommend to review your listing and see if there is any way you might be able to optimize it. General Rule of Thumb - 5% CVR is decent. 10% and above is excellent. If you focus and optimize CTR and CVR - the PPC problem will fix itself. Hopefully this help!
