Journeyman prep App?
Hey, just wanted to get some feedback on an app that was shared with me. I really like the layout, simplicity, and structure, but I’m not sure about the wording of the questions. It’s free, so if you check it out just let me know if the phrasing of the questions sound similar to the questions on the journeyman prep practice exams you’ve been using 1) the sections that are useful: Theory & Calculations, Terms & Definitions, Code & Safety. 2) the issues: I think the wording of the questions and answers are not close enough to the actual exam wording. 3) all the information you can learn is still very useful for understanding the nec, safety, and calculations from what I can tell Electrician Pro - https://apps.apple.com/app/id6759343517

How good are you at subject indexing?
🔐 What’s the key to subject indexing? Answer ➡️ The Table of Contents I’ve always struggled with Subject indexing any time I was taught it (or they tried to teach me it), because they always started with the back of the book. the gave me: - a paper with all the table of contents on it - A question - Instructions to go to the back of the book But what they didn’t give me: - a robust understanding of the table of contents - An understanding of the flow of the NEC Why is this a problem? because: if you give me a question on outlet spacing in a hospital I’m going to struggle because > I don’t know if theres an article on hospitals or if there’s an article on outlets or if there’s an article on spacing for outlets. But with a little understanding of the NEC I know where to look! Spend a little time learning the 9 chapters and what they generally cover and subject indexing will become a breeze. Exercises: 1. Flash cards with only the 9 chapters 2. Looking at each chapters contents - in the table of contents- and try to see why these particular articles correspond to the name of the chapter. Example: why is fuses in Wiring and Protection? 3. Look at some prep questions and see if you can tell what chapter they fall in Good luck!

I’m going to keep the group open
Hey everyone, after giving it some thought I’ve decided to keep this mentorship circle open and active. I’ve just been really busy. I haven’t been able to put as much effort into this group as I had initially planned. From here forward: 1. I’ll keep content coming biweekly (or weekly when I can) 2. Everyone that’s apart of the group should check in at least once every other week. 3. Anyone inactive for more than a month will be removed from the group (you can join the group again if you are removed ) 4. I’ll be focusing more on the YouTube channel and sharing some of that content here along with exclusive content If you want to stay in the group then please respond to this post or show some activity in the group before 5-12-26 (2 weeks from now) I’ll be removing inactive members that day to try and keep the community fresh and active Thanks. I appreciate all of you and I’m looking forward to seeing you pass your exams and further your careers!
