@Niloo Roshani Than my questions is: what were their expectations? The cards and exercises are written pretty 'fool proof'. And with some experience you can easily alter the way you use them to make them fit for purpose. What I like most about them is that you can lay out your workshop and juggle around the different exercises in order to find the best fit.

Meetup in Amsterdam on May 25th
*Disclaimer: This is not an official AJ&Smart meet-up. Hi everyone! It’s almost 3 months later, but…..we have a date 🎉 and a location! Together with @Lieke Kamp we organised a meetup in Amsterdam on Thursday May 25th. It will start around 🕢18:30 and it will ends around 21:30. It’s a meetup for and by the workshop enthusiasts! What the program will look like exactly, we all determine with a questionnaire🗒️. Please let us know if you think you will be there. We will share the link for the questionnaire and some additional information in the upcoming days.

Who is interested in a meetup in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 in the near future?
Who would like to meet somewhere in the Netherlands in the spring? I think it would be nice to meet up with anyone who would like to chat and exchange experiences with a group of people. Let me know in the comments and I'll post a poll with some options for a day and location 🤓.

Facilitating A Sensitive Topic.
Good day, everyone. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with sensitive topics. Discussing a negative organizational culture with the organization's founders and executive team. According to the needs analysis, leadership is required (in their own words repeated 41 times out of 67 "TOXIC"). How can I facilitate the conversation about establishing a new culture without causing problems? PS. The leadership team is comprised of aggressive and dismissive/defensive individuals. 😎 How do I demonstrate my worth?

Ok ,so they are paying you already for your expert opinion, that's good 👍 That means they have at least identified that something has to change. If I understand you correctly, the TOCIX environment has been created (over the years) by the founders and their management team itself. So telling them something is not OK, will "hurt" their ego. Regional and cultural differences play a big rol in this issue as well. In my opinion it is alway good to find out what the agenda and the underlying motivations of the individuals are. These my conflict and that needs to be fix first. As long as the founders & the management team are not on the same page, changing the culture will be very difficult. (top down) Do you know how the workforce perceives the organisational culture?? What is it that make it TOXIC for them?? Are there small adjustment that can be made in order to improve this?? Then start by just doing that. That way you can demonstrate that change is possible. Even though it's little. If you want to talk about this in person, let me know and we'll set up a Team / Meet / Zoom... 😃

❓Question: Which method/exercice do you find the most fun to run❓
I'm asking what you as facilitators find most enjoyable because I'm curious. It is not necessary what your favorite or what you find most usable because the answer to that is probably "it depends" See this as an opportunity to reflect on what really gives you energy and why and you might gain insight into something that makes you a better facilitator.
