Melissa, I can also empathise with chickens pigs and animals as we just sold our smallholding. You must be busy homeschooling, how old are your kids?

Variegated Yarn and a tricky challenge….Module 1
There is so much value in making variegated yarn. I always include it in my teaching, so I feel I need to point out why it is an important part of getting started, even for adults ❤️💙🧡💛💛 It really is about the maths. - Making variegated yarn using short and longer lengths of yarn helps you understand how much yarn is needed to create the stitches. - It helps to easily see where the stitches are on the previous row or previous round. - Absolute beginners who are making chain lengths can be encouraged by working through the different coloured yarns. Especially young es children. - When using lengths of yarn the same size you may see a pattern emerging. - Using just two or three colours of the same length can be creative and fun to do. Especially in beginner projects such as bracelets. **challenge** To make variegated yarn I recommend using a reef knot, however there is another knot that I learned and I now use it all the time. The knot is not easy, it took me a lot of practice to get it right. But once you can do it, it is worth it. The join is really neat and smaller than the reef knot. Do let me know if you master it. Link for the video is in the Resources at the end of the module 4
