If you don’t already follow Shirin Altsohn, aka @Shirinatra, prepare to lose some time scrolling through her page. 😂 Shirin is a German vintage content creator, designer and artist who calls herself a “fashion chameleon” because she doesn’t stick to just one decade. Her looks jump everywhere from the 1920s through the 1970s, with lots of Old Hollywood inspiration mixed in. Her outfits are BEAUTIFUL, but what I really love is how wearable they are. She’ll take inspiration from Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe or Brigitte Bardot and turn it into something you could actually recreate today. She also shares vintage hair tutorials, makeup, outfit ideas and some seriously gorgeous photography. Fun fact... the name Shirinatra is actually a combination of her first name, Shirin, and Sinatra, because Frank Sinatra is one of her favorite singers. 🎥 WHAT TO WATCH: Her YouTube channel is full of vintage outfit lookbooks and tutorials. Try her video where she recreates four looks from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Watch Shirinatra on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@shirinatra Follow Shirin on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/shirinatra/ Go take a peek at her page... which decade do you think Shirin wears BEST? 🤎

@Rachel Beck I can definitely see why! ❤️ When someone continues to inspire you after all those years, you know they’re doing something right. What’s your favorite thing about her?
Wisdom Wednesday | Shoes On or Off??
When someone comes to YOUR house... are you team shoes ON or shoes OFF? 👠 Here’s an old etiquette rule that feels VERY different from today... a properly dressed guest generally kept her shoes on inside someone else’s home. Taking your shoes off at the door wasn’t traditionally the automatic rule it has become in many homes today. Your shoes were considered part of your complete outfit, especially when you were visiting, attending a dinner or going to a party. Imagine arriving in your beautiful dress, stockings and heels... then padding around the hostess’s living room in your stockings. 😂 Of course, muddy or wet shoes were another story, and different households and cultures had their own customs. But traditionally, you wouldn’t simply kick your shoes off and get comfortable unless your hostess invited you to. The modern rule is much simpler... follow the customs of the home you’re entering. A gracious guest never makes the hostess uncomfortable over something as silly as shoes. 📚 WHAT TO READ: The Ladies’ Book of Etiquette, and Manual of Politeness by Florence Hartley is a fascinating old etiquette guide originally published in 1860. It’s basically a peek into all the little rules women were once expected to know. Find it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3SPiGHd When someone comes to YOUR house... are you team shoes ON or shoes OFF? 👠

Wisdom Wednesday - Etiquette
For Wisdom Wednesday… here’s a little etiquette habit that can make a BIG difference 🎀 When someone asks you a question, pause for about 3 seconds before answering. It gives you time to fully comprehend, collect your thoughts, and respond with intention instead of simply reacting. That tiny pause makes you appear more composed, thoughtful, and confident… and can save you from saying something you wish you could take back! Do you already do this? Tell me below! ⬇️ Wisdom Wednesday: Etiquette, manners, poise, and little ways we can bring timeless grace back into everyday life!

@Mila Micheals Absolutely! Sometimes simply taking a few seconds to pause can make a huge difference. I’m glad the reminder helped, and I hope the practice works well for you! What kind of conversations do you find it hardest to pause in?

My first Piece!!!
Oh my I had to share because I’ve been waiting for this day for what feels like ever! My First Piece arrives today and I just can’t wait! It’s not true vintage in terms of being directly from the era but it represents it so well! I think it’s perfect nonetheless! Due to budget I couldn’t get the shoes I wanted yet, but hopefully very soon. My question is what shoes would you recommend? See screenshots of dress and matching Belt. I currently have only black and brown shoes some heels some flat. But I feel like with the red belt my shoes should be red too, thoughts?

@Neona Solt I agree! 😍 The black or white shoes would still look great with the dress while adding the red ones later would really complete the look. Which pair would you choose for now?
