Glad you drew so much from that movie Caroline and like myself,being the audience saw him grow from an extremely talented child vocalist into an artist obsessed with his craft. Having danced through that era myself,Michael Jackson’s journey symbolized several things for me;the idea that talent combined with discipline could transcend background and circumstance;the breaking of racial barriers. I mean who could discriminate against those 5 cuties who had da mooooves.I distinctly recall the premiere of the Thriller video and his moonwalk(could never quite get that downpat lol).Can still picture his face on the cover of the Album.Then,appearing calm and confident with a warmth in his face.I even took a day off work to view his funeral :( The dedication behind the success was recognised as equally as what the brothers,particularly Michael endured growing up exposed to intense fame.For people(such as myself), who lived through the Jackson 5 era into Michael Jackson’s solo superstardom, the inspiration came from witnessing an entire lifetime of artistic evolution unfold publicly — from gifted child to global cultural icon.So, in summary,how I might draw parallels here are through my mindset,balance and identity. Definately about protecting my mental wellbeing, maintaining my trusted relationships, taking rest and assuming a true sense of self,outside of achievement which we all continually strive to work upon.Thank you again Caroline, really got me thinking.It wasn't just a movie or an opportunity to dance around my living room,it's how it so resonates with us all.

Hi Caroline.This does seem resonate with me also, so deeply. March really does carry that quiet shift—less about pushing forward and more about tuning in and it's adapting this approach. I always hold admiration on how you frame things,particularly where you refer to it as a "reset without judgment", because that can often be the missing piece of the puzzle. We are so quick to label goals as “failed” when really they had just outgrown who we were in the previous months.I would like to think in small doses, there were some fulfilled goals nonetheless.That idea of refining rather than abandoning feels especially a powerful message as I set out to remind myself of this. There is something grounding about allowing the change in seasons to guide that reflection too.Slowing down just enough to ask those questions does take intention with a desired action, but it creates space for clarity instead of pressure.Such a thoughtful perspective—thank you as always for sharing it.
