Who's excited to say that one day?! Who's already gotten a taste of that experience?! The pure joy of walking outside and harvesting dinner. 🤗 These were the carrots & celery I harvested for some chicken and dumplings last night! Sooooo delish 😋 I CAN'T WAIT to see everything y'all harvest this year!!

We grow tomatoes every year and we've always been blessed with a good yield, but this year is nuts. The big one is a Brandywine (without the cat face) and there at least a dozen more ripening on the vine. At least five pounds on the counter. And, they taste SO GOOD! I just love home grown tomatoes. Good thing! LOL!😂

This Asparagus Gruyère Tart comes together in about 30 minutes and tastes like something you'd order at a fancy restaurant. 💃 Flaky puff pastry, melty Gruyère, fresh asparagus from the garden, and a honey-dijon base that will knock your socks off. It's so easy that I made it with my toddler, hence the messiness around the edges. 🤭 And so good that I wish we'd made two! Thanks to Philomene, we learned about mustard tomato pie. OMGosh! My husband made it today. Puff pastry, dijon mustard, havarti cheese, tomatoes (of course) and a little parmesan. It was so good. We will be definitely making this again. Lots of recipes out there; this is the one my husband picked.

Just found this cute little oddball strawberry in my garden! And no, your eyes are not deceiving you! You're looking at a strawberry plant ON a berry! This is called Vivipary. AKA - a seed sprouting prematurely. Usually caused by excess moisture, warm temps, and overripe fruit. We did just have a whole week of rain 🌧️ + hot, humid weather... So, makes sense to me! Bonus - if this happens to you, you can remove it and attempt to grow it out! How neat is that? Have you ever seen this before?
