One week down…
Hi good people, hope your week has been good and you’re heading into a relaxing and/or enjoyable weekend. Today marks one week since “Fingerprints” was released and I wanted to share some of my wins with you as you were the very first to hear the song when it was still in it’s infancy stage. 🥰 I don’t take any of these blessings lightly and continue to be filled with gratitude that I can do what I love and touch people at the same time. Hope everyone had a productive weekend or even a weekend of rest if good too if you needed it!!! Something I have struggled with is judgement from those who feel if you do R&B shouldn’t do gospel because you can’t follow two masters but I wrote a song about just that I hope you all enjoy and feedback is always welcome!!!

He has it documented how you misbehave?????? PREACH SIR!!!! As someone who grew up in the church's music ministry, I felt this one DEEP!! Church folk love to dish out condemnation. I know the good book says to pray for them but it also says there is power in the tongue . . . blessing AND cursing . . heaping coals on YOUR head . . ok lemme climb out of my preachy bag. On another note, these lyrics remind me of the same honesty that Jonathan McReynolds writes with but with a J. Moss edge. You got another one!

I'm kind of torn on this one . . leaning more on the focus of the first bar. I feel like you played this one safe lol. First line was coming in hot and definitely had my attention and ready for the story to unfold. However, the rest of the song kind of melted into a more soft longing approach. While I enjoyed your lyrics as per usual, I wish you would have committed to the "horny Sundays" lol. In fact, what if you changed the first bar altogether to match the tone of the original song and then take that first line to another song and really go there with it . . . Sunday Specials . . hands, positions, favorite room lol. Raw and honest with a sprinkle of 90s guitars weaved in to enhance those desperate moments. Overall I did like the song. 🙂
