Everyday Actions That Show Students They Matter
Here’s the truth: students may forget your lesson on fractions, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel. It’s the small things that stick. The teacher who remembered your birthday. The coach who noticed when you were down. Those moments whisper, “You matter.” Here are five everyday actions that build trust: Greet students by name at the door. -Praise effort, not just results. -Follow through on your promises. -Ask about life outside class, then listen. -Celebrate small wins out loud. None of these take more than a minute, but together, they can transform your classroom. This week, pick one and practice it daily. Then add another. Watch the culture shift before your eyes.

Quite a few students like football and Halloween; usually they will communicate to you about both.

Good evening!! Test Preparation comes to mind after hearing today that some students have test anxiety when they hear the word test. Another one is writing; Who, what, when, where and how is often used yet are there other ways encourage students to improve writing Lastly, reading comes to mind

Heated debate: where do you stand?
Good morning, Impact community. The county I work in is updating its grading policy for the new school year. There is a heated debate about whether or not students should have been given input in the new policy before it was finalized. What do you think? Should students have a say in how they are graded? If so, how much say? At what age? If not, why not?
Heated debate: where do you stand?

For elementary, fourth and fifth grade; middle school and high school-preparing them for college discussions especially if they decide to take online courses

In my county there is a student representative that is part of the school board. The student’s presents truly makes a difference and the student’s voice is heard.
